Veggie is not so different from dinoD, and I find it very reasonable to think that it could cheaply and easily be modified into a 100% compatible alternative. What the formula probably does is use household ingredients to do most of the work, and then their additive is the things that are hard-to-get on a local level (petrochemicals, etc.) that make it work so much better. I find it a very believeable product. Mystery in this case does not make me suspicious at all. If they tell too much, then smart people like us could figure out how to do it without buying their book, even if we did buy their additive. Books are not free (or even cheap) to make anymore, so they want to sell them. Also, if some homebrewer figures out some of the process but not all of it, they could (in theory) ruin something in their car and also ruin the concept's reputation in the process. They are simply protecting their business interests by being secretive, that's all. I look forward to seeing what this really is....if it is as good as it sounds, perhaps "John juice" is about to get a major upgrade!
