Also, when anyone does a Reply All so the list is among the recipients, they would also send a copy of their reply directly to the original poster, unless they edit the addressing. I finally figured out that this is how you see someone's reply to another's reply before you see the message they were replying to. And finally, I'm probably not alone in skewing the subscription numbers. So that I can post from whatever account I happen to be able to use at the time, I'm subscribed I think three times, although I believe a couple of them are just to the digest.
