Hi guys. Winter and snow is nice, it gives us a chance to get more toys than the good weather only guys. Looking forward to getting our dump soon as I'm just located east of London Ont. Got the snowblower and snowmobile in good shape to go. Cheers Ed >>> "Jim Hoffman" 2005-11-22 10:17:53 AM >>> > thanx edward... How quickly you forget. I'll refresh your memory... It looks like this: http://my.execpc.com/E1/FC/jslash/F350/Plowing1.JPG ;) I can't speek for Edward but *I* love it! I plan to stay here for the rest of my days in this lifetime. Isn't it great we all like something different? Otherwise it would be WAY over populated! ;) Jim ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Nov 2005 18:38:02 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: Re: [db] the ultimate trailer? actually I love it too... and we get just enough here for me to get it out of my system, realize what a pain it is and then make it another year... :) john On Tue, 22 Nov 2005, Jim Hoffman wrote: >-->> thanx edward... (maybe not this lot... ;) hard to say, but it looks like the common folk may be waking up to the idea of engine efficiency... john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Nov 2005 09:35:58 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: [db] the "mystery tip" ran across an ebay auction of some guy selling a "mystery tip". I've got a ebay search running that looks for 6.2/6.5L Diesel parts... it ran across someone trying to sell a "tip" to make a million miles on a 6.2... of course his 6.2 only has 600,000 miles on it... (hmmmm, he's canadian, maybe he meant km's... ;) It's amazing that he would think of selling this tip on ebay... Maybe I'm a tad jealous since I didn't think of it first... after all wagoneers.com is about 5 gig worth of "free" tips that have been freely available for the last 12 years. :) But that's ok... I can sleep at night... ;) (Maybe I should do like the 6.2/6.5L Diesel pages did and go subscription... of course that would probably mean I'd have to organize, clean and secure my pages... nah... I'll keep the day job... ;) Anyway, what two tips could he possibly offer? :) My curiosity is awakened... Of course I can think of a number of suggestions for high mileage on a Diesel... some of them don't involve amsoil either. ;) The 3 to 5 bucks at any parts store seems to me to point to a thermostat, just a hunch... Anyway, we should put together a list for Diesel longevity and I'll put it on my server... to help our Diesel loving friends enjoy a long and happy adventure. :) Reminds me... I haven't started my soon to be son's '83 GMC 6.2 in almost a month... it's not foggy, it's not raining... I better hurry and get outside... ;) Hey, and maybe we'll come up with a few suggestions for those with those stinky and inefficient gas engines as well... ...anyway, here's the text, let's see what we can come up with... because I sure am not bidding on his auction... ;) quote: Here is two tips that the diesel manufacture may not want you to know . I will give you two tips on how my truck has reached over 600,000 miles; doesn't burn any oil and may very well hit the 1,000,000+ mile mark! It's been 16 years since I purchased my truck and have only had to change the Water Pump! This will help your Fuel Pump last for years and other expensive components! I will send the two tips sealed in an envelope to you. These two tips have helped even the Big Rig tractor trailers! May even apply on some gas vehicles. These tips won't work for everyone, as we all have different driving habits. One tip will only cost you about 3 to 5 dollars at any auto parts or hardware store and the other tip won't cost you anything!! "This auction and These Tips were givin to me by a retired Diesel mechanic who was also a qualified Diesel Truck Mechanical Engineer"! So, winning my auction, plus another 3 to 5 bucks at any auto parts or hardware store and your all set. "You will definitely thank me later", Bid Now and Save alot more than this auction will cost you.... :end quote. have a great thanksgiving, and... let the speculation, suggestions and ideas begin... john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #2024 **********************************
