Ambient temps in the Seattle area have raised over 40:F in the last week... the rains are back with a vengeance. My home WVO filtering setup is moving once again... those cold temps wedged it pretty solid for most of December. Gravity was not doing the job and I had to use the hand pump to get it through the filters. Talk about an upper-body workout! I think I managed to squeeze about 7 gallons out after working at it for 3 weeks. =\ Today, with temps in the low 60s :F (yes, low sixties on Christmas eve!) the stuff was free flowing once again. I pulled 10 gallons out with ease, and moved about 30 gallons through the filters and into the storage barrel. If the temps stay this warm I'll be able to work through my big backlog. If anyone in the Seattle area wants some, let me know. I'm actually pretty far north (Arlington) but travel south to Seattle during the week. Happy Christmas to all! - -- - --chuck goolsbee 02 Jetta TDi (but also looking for a 300SD or SDL) arlington, wa, usa ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Dec 2005 22:40:30 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: Re: [db] Free flowing once again... yes, it's wonderful to have rain again, I think... :) I've still got 155 gallons of oil sitting here and my Diesel truck isn't put together yet... :) john On Sat, 24 Dec 2005, chuck goolsbee wrote: > -->Ambient temps in the Seattle area have raised > -->over 40:F in the last week... the rains are back > -->with a vengeance. I live in south Seattle, but work in Ballard, I would love to run some WVO in the old 240D and my better half would be pleased to have it flowing in her 300D as well. I could give you a five gallon gas can to bring back,if you like, Or if you really want to get rid of alot, I have 55 gallon plastic drums I could always fire up the old scout and make a run up north. (but I need to sort a thing or two out on it first) Let me know, I am willing to take your WVO if you are drowning. I can donate a plastic 55 gal drum if you need one, also.
