Bear in mind that even of the same model, any 2 motors will run differently and get different performance and economy. The NA 606 in my car is reported to get well into the mid-30s in fuel economy, but my particular car has never topped 30, even on all-highway trips. Conversely, I had an '82 300CD with the turbo 617 motor that got 29 MPG consistently, while other people with the same motor were reporting 25 to 27. J.B. If I remember correctly the cylinder heads on these engines cracked easily. Would appreciate very much if somebody could confirm this. Besides the usual stuff what other weaknesses has this model??? Unfortunately, mbz.org does not show the helpful articles anymore. TIA Wiard ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #2071 **********************************
