I am just wondering if anyone with a similar car would be able to verify the wiring for the sensors in the engine bay. I have 4 wires that connect to the various sensors like the oil pressure, temperature and ? and ?. The connectors fell out of the holder on the inner fender and I would like to varify which wired plug into which sensor and which hole that wire goes into on the holder. Also, does anyone know if there is any where I can look at the vacuum diagrams to varify that I have put the right hosed in the right connectors. Thanks for any help Corey - -- corey church coreychurch-at-fastmail.fm ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Mar 2006 13:15:54 -0500 From: "Black, Waylon" Subject: [db] Carfax needed Can anybody run a carfax for my new ride? Neighbor works at a Import repair garage. Owner inherited about 30 MB/BMW/Volvo. This 300D has a flare on the 2-3 and 3-4 shift so he said he would sell it for $400. I couldn't talk him down - not even $399. ;) It recently had the GPs, GP relay, oil pan, and mounts replaced(and some other odds and ends) to the tune of $1718.96 Thanks, Waylon Black Little Elm, Texas ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Mar 2006 10:28:56 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: Re: [db] Carfax needed recommend running the VIN at the dealer... better info, every carfax I've ever run has been flawed or useless... john On Wed, 1 Mar 2006, Black, Waylon wrote: >-->Can anybody run a carfax for my new ride? >--> >-->Neighbor works at a Import repair garage. I expect to transport things like empty 55-gallon drums, water heater tanks, etc. More bulky large items than weighty stuff. *Probably* won't be transporting more than one filled barrel, or will ask someone else to do it if need to transport multiple filled barrels. Any suggestions, thoughts, etc.? (Like I have to ask, on this list, especially with John around!) Also, how hard is it to tow a trailer, and how hard to maneuver it? I seem to recall something about having a longer tongue in order to be able to reasonably back it up? The trailers they sell at costco should be light enough and work well for what you need. yes, a longer tongue is better for backing and stability... the one at costco is fine though... I was thinking about parting with my trailer for a time, but with the WJ and a V8 there is no need. :) john On Thu, 2 Mar 2006, Bruce Caruthers wrote: >-->So, since I will *hopefully* be parting with my >-->SUV in the near future (and it really was too >-->nicely upholstered for real hauling, anyway), I >-->am considering the idea of putting a towing >-->hitch (am I getting the terminology right?) on >-->either my '76 W115 or my '93 W124, and finding a >-->lightweight trailer. >--> >-->I expect to transport things like empty 55-gallon >-->drums, water heater tanks, etc. More bulky large >-->items than weighty stuff. *Probably* won't be >-->transporting more than one filled barrel, or will >-->ask someone else to do it if need to transport >-->multiple filled barrels. >--> >-->Any suggestions, thoughts, etc.?
