'83 J10 - 18mpg 166 gals biodiesel - FREE (if it can be put together by July 4th can make the trip using what WVO and BioDiesel I should have by then...) On board 40 gal tanks, two 55 gal drums in the bed should just about carry us the rest of the way... ;) plenty of room for more barrels. ;) of course the J10 is still in lots of little parts... but it the perennial hope of completion "this summer" is still there... I still have that '92 xj... and for a mere $1500 could drop in a mercedes 3.0L... but with grad school every other weekend I haven't even found time to fix the flat on the cj-2. ;) the '48 cj-2a would be fun to bring along if the J10 was ready... :) anyway, the question was: any s/w, online tools etc to plan a trip? looking at around 1,480 miles give or take one way... most of the trip out will be on I-90, heading back via I-94 to I-90 with a possible side trip up through Glacier... :) Have made this trip many times over the last 30 years... john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Mar 2006 13:36:46 -0800 From: "Dan Jacobs" Subject: Re: [db] trip planning - ----- Original Message ----- From: "john" > trying to plan out a trip to south dakota... have rand mcnally > streetfinder deluxe but it doesn't appear to be able to help me > plan a daily trip based on hours driven or miles covered... > > any software or websites to plan trips by hrs/day or miles/day??? MSFT Streets & Trips can do the "max hours/day" trip planning, but only based on one average MPH, not the different ones for each state your going through.
