For instance, my '71 BMW 2500 had manual sunroof, windows, 4 speed and a dual carb'd inline six... in the states the comparable model was the Bavaria... much more upscale... think it had power and auto... In Europe there are many, many lower end models available, much like our typical fords and chevy's. It would be very interesting to map all the global models of one product line... same thing happens with Jeeps... My buddies down under get different models than we do, often with Diesel engines!!!! lucky rascals. john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- to fry some phish: http://castlecops.com/pirt - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 6 May 2006 18:28:09 -0700 From: "dwowen" Subject: [db] 123 series shop manuals on ebay Hope this is a service and not a spam, but there are both Volume 1 and Volume 2 of the Mercedes Benz Chassis and Body Service Manuals - 123 body series shop manuals on ebay - both in great shape and going cheap. She had to do manual shutdown while picking up daughter at WSU Pullman this weekend. Just back from the Mity-vac test: The hose to the shutoff switch pulls 23" of vacuum when the ignition key is turned off (looks ok). When trying to pull a vacuum on the fuel pump switch with the Mity-vac I get no vacuum build-up. I assume the vacuum switch on the pump is kaput, as they say in German. Off to look at the manual to check procedure. Anyone BTDT? Any caveats?
