In Mitchell, SD... where it's 105+ degrees... had the pinion seal replaced on the rear axle ('99 WJ). only $59 here, got a quote in Everett for $380. Hmmmm... interesting. the WJ averaged between 18 and 19 mpg... cruised nicely at 75mph. Very happy that we took the WJ over the Mercedes 300D... more room, way better seats, and the WJ a/c has just barely been able to keep up with the 100+ temps we've been seeing... the Mercedes would have killed our backs and baked us alive. :) Spotted a few nice FSJs on the road, lots of XJs, not too many flat fenders have been spotted... pix up at: http://wagoneers.com link off the main page now. john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #2206 **********************************
