Mercedes diesels rock! How many sorts of car do you see ads for "300kmiles, runs good"? Anyway, I was changing the oil on my wife's car. When finished, I coulnd't turn the ignition key to "OFF". OR pull out the key. After many many tries, - starting the engine, turning the wheel lock to lock, then straight forward - it finally turned. Guess this beast's next ride is to the Chevy dealer for warranty service. - Jerry Kaidor ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 3 Sep 2006 18:52:18 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: [db] Re: 1953 MB 170ds 6,251 units in 1953... only 2 years, Jan '52 through Aug '53, 6,734 units in 1952 how many are left???? not a clue. it's the OM 636 Diesel engine, 4 cyl, 107.7 cu in, 1767 cc 40 hp -at-3200 rpm, 74.5 ft/lbs at 100km 3,330 rpm 175.4 in long 66.3 in wide 63.4 in tall 39.37 turning diameter 2,805 lbs 105 km/hr (65mph) top speed 0 to 100km in 56 seconds... :) 27.75 mpg 12.4 gallon tank. see page 17, Mercedes Benz production models book - W. I have README and HEADER files and they work, but do not reveal the directories... apache2, need to know what the "Directory" setting is to work... I've had this setup like this for the last 10 years, not sure what I did to break it... in other news, looks like we may have the cj-2a put together this week... I had a 4.0L tip over on me off my cart, landed on the valve cover but doesn't look worse for wear and tear... the 4.2 is sitting on my shop hoist needed my trailer to haul dirt and gravel and I couldn't take the engine for superdawg down to curtis's... sure will be fun putting them back in the trailer... john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #2234 **********************************
