The six cylinder was a 6BT, or 6BTA with the same distinction, and displaced the same. One can get a TH-400 patterned flywheel housing for either cummins (have the GM part number here somewhere) which makes swaps with either somewhat easy. The catch is that the GM applications had a nose-up tilt of a few degrees as installed in breadvans. If I decided to park the '91 Grand Wag on top of the 3/4T Dodge frame I'd have to cut out almost two feet of Dodge... and then I'd be riding on an ox cart... With the J10 I could pull springs out of the Dodge pack to soften the ride... (could do that on the wag too I guess). If I could wave a magic wand and make all this stuff just happen I'd put the J10 on the Cummins chassis and then put my 6.2L Driveline into the GW... Cold hard reality is put the J10 on the Cummins chassis and sell the GW and the 6.2 setup, keep the Benz and the WJ. hey curtis, what would you rather do? Pop SuperDawg on a running chassis or continue setting up the 6.2L Diesel? I could pull the Dodge cab and bed up here and tow the chassis down there... that is if it would be legal to flat tow the chassis with a tow bar... thoughts? NOTHING definite yet... haven't even looked at the Dodge yet... just a thought... Selling off the pieces I have might cover the costs... might even be less expensive than buying the adapter for the transmission... let's see, I've got the 4.2/t-5/np208 from the dawg, the 4.0L/aw4/custom piece/np219, another 4.2 that's good, another 4.0 that's not good (hey curtis, there isn't a 4.0 down there is there?)... and then the 6.2/700r4 and a damaged gm 208. right? john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #2420 **********************************
