The trim on the inner hinge of the passenger seatback is missing, and it's not clear if the shift console is supposed to have any wood, but the dashboard wood isn't curled away from the dash, and the glovebox closes level with the rest of the dash. The blue dash is supposed to be the slightly less hardy, but this one looks fine. Drop some floor mats in this puppy, then drive it like you stole it. Jason's right. With a 240D, as long as you remember to use everything the motor can give you ("Drive it like you stole it"), I think accelleration was on par with your basic 4-cylinder mid-sized sedan driven not much more than half throttle, but for everyday driving, you easily learn to work with what she'll give. The drivetrain seems to be designed for lots of full throttle time. They seem to actually stay in better shape when they get lots of use and are allowed to spin up a little. It's probably the whole W123 chassis that we fall in love with just as much as any of the diesels used in that series. Spend any length of time with a 240D or 300D W123 (through 1983 for the 240D and 1985 for the 300D), and you understand what people mean when they say a car has personality and character. That is just the friendliest setup you'll find anywhere, and always willing to try to please you. >From the few pictures and what you've described, I say go for it. Hi guys, I'm considering purchase of an ultrasonic cleaner to clean fuel injectors. Well, to clean lots of other stuff too, but the fuel injectors are the immediate need.
