I wonder if I could blend used veggie oil with it and dilute it that way... once I get my project running I need to start working on a fuel heater setup for the aux tank... I would think heating the used motor oil should work as well... besides the abrasives my biggest concern about used oil is the acidic nature of it... I wonder if it couldn't be neutralized some how... I wonder if a little bit of gasoline in the mix would help thin it and help reduce the acidity... john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- On Tue, 18 Mar 2008, Mike Frank wrote: # If they are less then 10 microns, so what? Local friend, who has a home business making potato crisps, has happily been filtering her old oil on filtering paper and mixing it 50/50 with diesel. She is very happy she no longer has to get rid of the old oil, and with the savings in transportation costs. John: My gramps was born in LeHavre (Frogland) of British parents. When he turned 14 he had to choose what to be, with Europe being what it was he decided it would be best to stick with Blightey and officially was assigned British citizenship at the UK Embassy in Paris ( I have his first passport as proof). Luckily he moved to Argentina in 1906 and missed the first war. Moved to Uruguay later where my Dad and later I were born (Dad was Uruguayan and did not have to sign up for WWII, and that due to Gramps being lazy, no other reason, me I was just popped out there, no choice in the matter). I emigrated to the U.S. in 1970 to pursue fame and fortune, still working on both (heh!). It would be fitting if one of my kids decided to become a U.K. or Irish (wifes side is of that origin) citizen to close the loop back to the old countries but this does not look likely at this stage. In spite of all our failings, the U.S. is still the best place to be IMHO.
