I'll find a suitable recepient for it... really... :) I know I'm on the right track with my Grand Wagoneer... going to mother's day dinner with our daughter and quite possibly our future son in law and my wife commented about my project... kind of with amazement that it actually worked. ;) of course the joy of the moment was lost when the back seat occupants couldn't get out... I'm not sure if there are child locks on the back doors or just one of those nice left over AMC features. :) Let's see... what would make a great small car Diesel project... I think a nice Pinto Wagon with a Pangra conversion would be pretty trick... :) Or maybe my neighbor's '95 mustang convertible... :) is it a rear wheel drive setup? how much does it weigh... ;) just kidding... if I do another Diesel conversion project it'll probably be a Jeep Cherokee with a Mercedes Diesel... Speaking of conversions... looking at better engine mounts for isolation, this is the kit we used... but it's got a wimpy rubber mount... http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/engine_mounts/mmx-wc1.htm an engineer friend is researching a better isolater. thursday I'm taking Omega down to a shop to get regeared to 4.10. :) I'm home with a headache today... usually I'm just the carrier. ;) john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://wagoneers.com ** http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/ ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 May 2008 12:08:16 -0700 (PDT) From: Jim Hoffman Subject: Re: [db] smart cars and project progress I know!
