(speedo would read 6% less than actually travelled... a ticket in waiting. :) did the math, had the gears swapped to 4.10s from 3.31... about a 20% increase... GPS readings and math indicated about a 14% difference... called the dealer and all they could get was a 36 tooth, ordered it and we did the math expecting about 2mph off... but went to Olympic 4x4 in snohomish today for other parts and bought a 35 tooth... just went out and tested it... it's within 1/2 mile per hour. :) installed the a/c pump... need a shorter belt and custom lines... ran my vent lines while I was under the jeep... heading in for a shower now.. :) tomorrow I'll work on the topside and install stereo and seats... it almost hit 80 here today... glad I took the day off. :) So, final score, 4.10 gears, 31x10.5's and a 35 tooth speedo gear... runs pretty quiet now... plenty of power... the 4.10s and new pinion bearing made a lot of difference... john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://wagoneers.com ** http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/ ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 May 2008 00:13:57 -0400 From: Mike Frank Subject: [db] W124 Oil pressure problem sloved. Just a bad sender (whew). I'm now looking at the self leveling suspension and power steering pump. Does anyone know if the pump will interchange with a w140 300SE, with self leveling suspension? It looks similar. Mike Frank ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #2760 **********************************
