Hmm, I saw something similar to this car last Sunday. I have just returned from a trip to Europe and I was on the autobahn heading to Berlin. This white car, which I thought was a Ferrari or Lambo, suddenly appeared behind me ( I was passing in the passing lane). Once it passed, I noticed it was an Audi. I didn't see it for very long. :-) I was in an Opel diesel. It was a six speed manual similar in size/shape to a VW Touran. I originally had a Touran on my reservation until they found out I was going to Poland. They switched it. I have a sheepskin cover on my '91 300D MBtex seat, makes it bearable. the '99 WJ Grand Cherokee cloth seats with cheap covers passed my passenger test... we're going to head south on I-5 to Portland, probably tomorrow... traffic will be horrible... no a/c, but no need. highest temp is Sat, 70, portland's highest for Sat is 73 (F). Plenty of ventilation in the big white Grand Wagoneer with deep tinted windows and a white roof... the custom hoses are being made for the a/c. using the gm pump, but making it so I can make brackets and use my jeep a/c pump. heading out to see if I can adapt the Jeep cruise control to the 6.2L since the cruise control on my 6.2 is missing parts... not sure what happened, but the a/c stuff and the cruise stuff on the 6.2 Diesel shed some small parts in the transplant. :( switched it over to Amsoil synthetic Diesel oil yesterday, I may be dreaming, but the engine seemed to run smoother, less roughness, more responsive... oil pressure was up considerably as well. Had been running Delo 400 in it while working out the bugs. I hope to see more fuel mileage increases as a result of this as well... time to wrench... :) (actually, drill, need to adjust the height of the arm rest and wire in an outlet for power accessories, like the cb/weather radio, portable powered chiller to gather up some good German sausage at the deli in Portland and power my laptop for the GPS... gadget city... :) big jeeps hold a lot of goodies. :) did I mention I installed my inside spare tire mount yesterday? http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/Omega-spare-under-FLEET-22May2008/ john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://wagoneers.com ** http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/ ** SAVE FUEL use AMSOIL Synthethics: http://wagoneers.com/AMSOIL - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #2765 **********************************
