That line developed a split this evening on the way home. I happened to be a Tractor Supply so I bought a utility knife, cut off enough hose to cut out the split and went on. After arriving home, I inspected the hose. It has come apart where the cord runs through it so basically the whole hose is toast. The lettering does indicate a "double wall". So, I picked up some black rubber hose that is labeled fuel line, 50 psi. Can I use this as coolant hose? That heater hose has an adapter in line for this hose. I have a new version of that heater hose and I'm thinking about eliminating the fuel heater altogether. Good idea? Thanks in advance, Marc Z in NC. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Jun 2008 11:04:50 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: [db] craigslist meltdown my ad asking for waste veggie oil on craigslist in the "items wanted" section has been repeatedly flagged/deleted about 24 times in the last day... If I want heat, I put the amplifier in and select "Defrost." That gives me full heat in defrost. For A/C, I remove the amplifier (which disables the servo) and select "Defrost." This gives me full blast A/C on the windshield. So what is the problem? I still have no control over the fan or flappers. All I can use is defrost. I have replaced the servo, push-button unit, and tried the amplifier that was in it and another one that I bought off eBay (and returned.....I'm pretty sure it was bad; it had exploded resistors and burns on the board!) and nothing gave me any control over the fan. One thing I noticed: the amplifier I got off of ebay was very different inside from the one that was in the car. Are they different designs with the same functions and I/O, or are there some differences? All I know is, I'm getting tired of playing games with this ACC. Is the only thing that could possibly be bad now the amplifier, or are there additional components (relays, rheostats, etc.) that exert some control over the fan? I need this ACC to function, since I am planning to sell this ride as a fully-functional daily driver. This ACC is my last major hurdle. I'm getting rather annoyed with it, honestly. Please enlighten me. SOMEBODY PLEASE!!!!!! J ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #2775 **********************************
