However, the good news is the teeth were missing on the assembly, so the problem is fixed... of course now the arm rest will flop about until I expoxy it to the door skin or something like that... not eager to take that panel off again... what's the problem with having screws holding a panel on? or the push in type snaps? I'm not terribly fond of them either, but have a tool to pull those off... I think I snapped off the one on the arm rest with said tool. You know, Mercedes are actually pretty easy to work on... if you've worked on that particular model before, or had the specialized training, or a list like this to help you... otherwise they're horribly illogical and different... I understand why my mechanic hates to work on these things... after this door panel/window regulator thing I'm with him... as much trouble as I'm having with my Grand Wagoneer it's so much easier to deal with or fabricate a solution... ...was giving some thought to a full size blazer, it has less issues to deal with, but looking at the fuel economy my GW with the 6.2 is about the same in town (maybe slightly better) and way better on the freeway... of course the blazer has worse seats, but a much better tailgate design... but then again, only 2 doors and absolutely no "class" or uniqueness... just a big ugly box. Hey, I may be driving down to Sacramento to retrieve a Diesel KJ for a buddy... will need to have windshield put in it... the KJ has a bit of damage, but need to have glass in it... he's buying it for the driveline... he hasn't learned from me yet... he's planning on putting it into a '56 Willys Panel. :) john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://wagoneers.com john's 6.2L GW: http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/ SAVE FUEL use AMSOIL Synthetics: http://wagoneers.com/AMSOIL - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Sun, 13 Jul 2008, Wiard Pless wrote: # http://www.mercedesshop.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=155585 # # this should assist you.
