I would be surprised if you still had seen one. In the Fifties you could buy the premixed 2stroke fuel at the gas stations suitable cars and motor cycles. For a while I had a small station wagon with a 400 cc air-cooled 2stroke engine but with 4 wheels and front wheel drive. Car was manufactured by Lloyd, a div. of the Borgward Group. This was a step up from the BMW Isetta I had before. Used primarily as tradesman's tools to carry stone, brick and deliver vegetables to market. They are postwar trucks and may have been from France or Germany and possibly Italy as most of what was on the road at that time in Uruguay was of European origin. Recently reported in a local paper: There is a good chance that Suzuki will sell the SX4 with a Peugeot-built diesel engine. A 1.6L common-rail, direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder with 89 hp with 159 Lb-ft of torque at 1750 rpm. Speed 12 sec to 100 k/h and 7.2 sec. 80-to-120 k/h. Fuel consumption 5.2 litres per 100 k. The unit tested in Canada was imported from France ^V the most noticeable differences being seat comfort and suspension tuning. The later considerable firmer than in the NA model without being harsh. ^V Peugeot should have a lot of experience with smaller diesel engines.
