Omega is having some issues with his sunroof... I think one of the wires came loose by the fusebox and the new owners are having trouble... the air deflector may have popped up and jammed the sunroof and popped a fuse or breaker... they're trying to get it closed so they can get it inspected and licensed and actually drive him... I don't know how mechanically inclined these folks are... they shouldn't be having trouble with the sunroof... never gave me any trouble in two years... anyway, email me off list if you might be able to assist... thanx, john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold SAVE fuel: use synthetics: http://www.AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 SAVE power: use LINUX: http://johnmeister.com/tmcp.pdf http://wagoneers.com http://gunbanobama.com/ http://freegift.com - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Oct 2008 21:49:02 -0500 From: "Randy Bennell" Subject: RE: [db] east coasters? I expected challenges for them with a few other things, but not these... they almost backed out after they won the bid... I have been brutually honest with them every step of the way... fundamentally the vehicle is sound... but because it's as old as it is and has all the intrinsic issues associated with AMC level quality Jeep, it will be a challenge, add to that it's hybrid nature, it's going to require extra attention... they claimed experience with vintage vehicles... so they went for it... I think they'll be ok, it's all pretty straight forward as far as the driveline goes... engine and trans are stock GM. Axles and transfer case Jeep, the rest is Jeep... so it's not overly complex and any competent independent mechanic shouldn't have a bit of trouble with it. I wish they were closer so I could fix these very minor issues... I can't afford to buy it back now... but will help them through any issues that come up... didn't really sign up to be the technical advisor indefinetly, but it's my brain child so I need to provide some support until they figure it out... as time goes on I'll be able to remember less of the details... and they're being very nice about it. they really are nice folks and are not being difficult at all.. john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold SAVE fuel: use synthetics: http://www.AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 SAVE power: use LINUX: http://johnmeister.com/tmcp.pdf http://wagoneers.com http://gunbanobama.com/ http://freegift.com - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Tue, 7 Oct 2008, Randy Bennell wrote: # One really must wonder why they bought this beast if they are not # mechanically inclined.
