Craigslist is your friend, or put it on the curb with a sign that says "$5" or something like that. If it's free, it'll get left, but if it has a value associated with it, someone will steal it. On the peninsula, it's well worth the gas money to drive to ox mountain instead of heading to the transfer stations. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Dec 2008 11:51:13 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: Re: [db] 4.28 tons $89/ton here... only paid $17 for .15 tons... ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://johnmeister.com/fotomeister - Trust Jesus: http://freegift.com SAVE power, avoid viruses, use LINUX: http://johnmeister.com/tmcp.pdf SAVE fuel, use synthetics: http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Tue, 2 Dec 2008, Jerry Kaidor wrote: # > took the blazer to the dump # # *** Dumping is expensive here. Trans would be the 518 4 speed auto or the 5 speed Getrag - neither of which are great although not the end of the world. Stock engine power is rather weak mainly because it is tuned up to fuel and spool up very slowly, however twenty minutes with a screw driver and the 7.3 is in your taillights. Mine is set up with 10% injectors, 12cc exhaust housing, tweaked pump, nv-4500 5 speed, and 3.54's. I think the fuel mileage went up after these mods although I am pretty mild compared to some guys. Towing a trailer with my diesel Benz loaded up hills is a total hoot - keep the hammer down and wave to the truckers as you pass them! Fred - -----Original Message----- Depends on the gearing.
