Subject: [db] Contemplating an 87 300D W124 I'm looking at a W124 300d non-turbo Euro model. Car is fresh in and out with only 50K miles on the odometer. Only issues I saw were a broken tach and some faint transmission noise with the car at a standstill at idle engine speed (owner says it should be easy to fix). BTW, it comes with a 5-speed manual tranny. Plus a 3" crack above the speedo on the dreaded blue dashboard. The only diesel MB I've owned is a 240D. They say the 300D turbo is far better. Appreciate your thoughts, warnings, pitfalls, etc. on this non-turbo model. How many HP does this one being sold have? Max torque at what RPM? Top speed? A link to get the specs would be great! Thanks, Rico ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #3016 **********************************
