I'm replacing the filler pipe on my '99 Astro. Fought with the -at-#$-at-# thing for three hours yesterday. The pipe terminates in a piece of 3-inch hose. The tank has a nipple sticking out. For the life of me, I cannot get the hose to mate with the nipple. The top keeps catching and folding in. It got to the point that I was fabricating special tools for it. Complicating things, the nipple has its bead right at the end. So there's no proper diameter pipe to pilot the hose onto it. I'd like to find the engineer who thought that up and strangle him. Going out to try again. This time I'm going to cut a bit off the hose so the top engages first. And grease the bejesus out of the thing with silicone grease. - Jerry Kaidor ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 28 Mar 2009 12:32:17 -0700 (PDT) From: diesel john Subject: [db] stumbled on ad... found an ad for a cj-10a in Georgia in near stock condition... http://www.jeep-classifieds.com/29866_jeep-ad.html john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #3032 **********************************
