I hate running empty. If need be, I could get a no-wheels-on-the-road car hauler. If anybody needs to get a car from somewhere in OH to somewhere in MI, please let me know. Alternatively, if you know of a site where I could find cars needing to be moved, that'd be great too. Kind of figured that might be the case. putting the turbo from the SD33T onto the SD33 is simply NOT a good idea. So far I've learned that the oil passages are different between the SD33 and the SD33T; they increased oil flow and added squirters under the pistons, and the pistons on the turbo engine are dished. a few other items... so we'll see if we can get that engine working.... Neither the guy with the Terra or I am in a big hurry so I'll see if I can get him to get it running before I drag it home, might cost me more, but if it doesn't work I won't drag it home. :) My friend in australia that works on these engines said that there is an aftermarket turbo available for the SD33, but it has issues, like the wastegate falling off... :) fwiw, the guy that won the panel on ebay stopped payment on the check, he couldn't afford to get it to the other coast... not real happy about it but I was able to cancel and reverse the ebay fees and he's going to pay the bank fees... If I were really ornery I'd hold his feet to the fire on the non-refundable deposit... guess when I accept a deposit in the future it'll be cash or a certified check. other than some minor inconveniences not a big deal. biggest problem for me is that the gears are turning again on what to do to with the panel... the terra comes with D44 axles, trans/xfr case... in other words I'll have full up running gear to convert the panel to a Diesel. :) Kevin, nice day for a drive to the PNW... hurry... save a panel. :) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160326112744 Have been watching too much Top Gear lately, have this idea of making an amphibious 4x4 Diesel... :) I think a Pacer with a Perkins Diesel might be pretty cool... especially if it were amphibious... ;) (my wife is going to probably have something to say about THAT idea... ;) anyway, heading out to work on my tug, finally going to put the tailgate in place... thinking of naming the tug "Sgt Slow", it definetly was an enlisted man's vehicle... when I drive it I can't help but think about Top Gear and Captain Slow... ;) it's like driving a forklift down the road... nice view from the cab, really quite a decent ride as well with the GW axles and springs... just need to work on the driver's door alignment so it seals up. It is quite happy cruising at 60-65 mph. It'll do 70 as well, but haven't had a chance to hold it at that speed because of annoyances like speed limits and traffic. ;) fighting off a relapse of allergies, my wife has been working on flower arrangements for the wedding... she makes some beautiful floral items... The only pollen listed is Alder, but all the rain we've had in the last few days have reduced it's impact, so it's listed as low... so I guess it's the flower arrangement combined with the alders... :) sunny day in seattle, temps in the 50's... and I feel like going back to bed... :( I hate allergies. :) john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Sat, 4 Apr 2009, Jim Blair wrote: # The turbo and non-turbo motors are built differently.
