They were not the most tolerant neighbors. They liked things pretty. You could gage their advance by houses getting decked out with nice two-tone paint jobs. We lived next door to George, who ran an auto wrecking yard down at Hunters Point. George was pretty cheap, and would always be driving some car out of his yard. Usually 60's Chevys. He'd get one in with a good body, another one with a good engine... He never bothered to register them, would just slap on plates from yet another car. One day, someone left a note on George's car saying that if he didn't get that eyesore painted, they'd be calling the police on him. So George painted the car. With a brush. He painted the body robins-egg blue and painted all the chrome trim bright yellow. - Jerry Kaidor ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 10 May 2009 10:38:22 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: Re: [db] color choice good for George... :) ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Sun, 10 May 2009, Jerry Kaidor wrote: # diesel john wrote: # # > trying to decide if I'm going to let "earl" paint my '86 cj-10a # > on one of the web specials for $299 or if I'm going to rattle can it... # # *** When I was growing up in San Francisco, our neighborhood was being # taken over by gays.
