Looks great. I grew up riding around in a '67 230 (gasser), really missed it when it rusted out. My '76 240D has a jumpy fuel gauge I should really look into one day... - -bkc Lynnwood, WA (his) '76 MB 240D [W115.117/616.916] (hers) '92 Toyota Celica GT (ours) '93 MB 300D 2.5 Turbo [W124.128/602.962] On Thu Jun 18, 2009, Bob Hamilton wrote: > > I have had this car for just over 4 years. It's stories and pics like this that inspire us "procrastinators" to get off our butts and work on our cars! Thanks for the inspiration! I'm sure you'll enjoy this guys' yard, chickens and all... http://wagoneers.com/DIESELS/SD33T-CoeurDLane-ID-June2009/ALL.html didn't take as many pictures as usual... ;) http://fotomeister.us/fotos/2009/06-Jun-18-road-trip-to-Idaho/ALL.html will probably be in Snohomish, late Friday, then Saturday we're heading up to Bellingham... ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Jun 2009 22:32:34 -0700 (PDT) From: diesel john Subject: [db] home again... SD33T in carport... The WJ got about 13 mpg towing the trailer both ways at 70mph, had plenty of power to spare... didn't push it... with 158,400 miles it's doing quite well. The brakes appeared to work which is good considering the combined weight of the trailer must have been around two tons. We got home around 7pm, Mark and I unloaded the SD33T, and all the extra parts... manifolds, TF727, 2 extra injection pumps, two starters, two alternator/vacuum pumps... and of course the T19 with a scout Dana 300. I plan to use the SD33T with the Scout T19 and the Jeep NP208 in my '83 J10 stepside. Hope to sell off the extra pieces... the TF727 for the SD33T with adapaters, extra manifolds and so on... I still need the SD33 mounts from a CJ-10A. here's a few snapshots along the way home: http://fotomeister.us/fotos/2009/06-Jun-19-road-trip-Spokane-Snohomish-SD33T/ALL.html here's a few snapshots along the way there: http://fotomeister.us/fotos/2009/06-Jun-18-road-trip-to-Idaho/ALL.html here's the half cab I saw... http://wagoneers.com/Willys/Willys-Half-CAB-Idaho/ getting the engine loaded... http://wagoneers.com/DIESELS/SD33T-CoeurDLane-ID-June2009/ALL.html ...Mark and I are heading out tomorrow to look at some machine shop equipment in Bellingham... still trying to find time to look at a Turbo Diesel Cherokee... but more interested in getting my J10 running... wondering if we just shouldn't put the SD33T in instead of messing with the 4.2... curtis? :) john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #3086 **********************************
