You'd be surprised at how much the emissions system takes away from the efficiency of the vehicle. It's a heck of a lot cleaner, just burns more fuel with all the after treatment. I'll end up with two transmissions when I'm done... one TF727 with the round / SAE#4 bellhousing and the jeep tailshaft, and a Jeep TF727 case with a Scout Dana 20 output shaft... for sale... both trannies are good. Then on Friday I plan to head down to Centralia with the round one, drop it and the adapter pieces off, pick up the Scout T19/DAna 300 and then head down to Salem to test drive the SD33T that's still in the scout, and at the same time deliver the T19/D300 to a guy flying up from the bay area in California... :) one of my friends from the cj-10 list is sending the thin metal part up to centralia later this week. (thanx David!) The scout engine will get pulled and delivered to Centralia in a few weeks...
