I'm not sure if I'm getting ready to go to Plan F, G or back to A... In the ATF tank built-in the power steering pump, there is a horizontal mark that seems to be a level mark. Does it indicate the max, or the min, level ? Cheers, Ron. - -- If thine eye offend thee, pluck thyself out, for the fault lies not in the eye, but in the soul. -- Nachtigall -- http://www.olgiati-in-paraguay.org -- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 04 Sep 2009 20:10:48 -0400 From: Marc Z Subject: Re: [db] Power steering fluid level Hi Ron, According to my Haynes manual, the level should be even with the washer on the shaft that holds the cover. The front wheels should be pointed straight ahead and the engine should be off. It also states that the "level should be near the mark below the reservoir rim" shown in a picture as being on the back side of the reservoir when looking from the front of the car. I had already looked at my copy of the Haynes Book of Lies; the reservoir it shows is different from the one I have in my car, which has no level washer on the shaft. And Chilton's is no better....
