Seemed a good idea in days when, before batteries and starter motors, you had to start your engine by hand, with a crank handle. A crank handle, that is. They also have starters, but the British motoring public didn't really trust'em in the 50's. With good reason :). The crank handle on my Triumph was invaluable once. The car was making this clanking noise when you set off from a stop. Drove me crazy. I did everything conceivable to troubleshoot it, including rebuilding the engine and transmission. Finally nailed it by pulling the starter, starting the engine with the crank, and driving away. No clank! It was the -at-#$#!-at-#$!-at-#$ starter all along. Seems there was this special washer missing out of the nose.... - Jerry Kaidor ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 Oct 2009 17:54:06 -0400 From: "FParker" Subject: [db] W124 Part Needed Hey Gang - I need a window mechanism for the drivers door of my '91.
