Hello Steve, I know some. I ordered part on the online part of the website and when I received the shipment, it was short. I called their phone number and found out that the person/company who processes the online orders is not them. It's someone else. I cannot remember the name but I called them and they promptly shipped out the missing parts. I first person that I spoke with using the telephone number associated with the website told me that to order parts from them, assuming Rusty, that I need to call that phone number. The website processing goes elsewhere. I do not know the reason for this arrangement. Marc Z in NC Steve Morelen wrote: > Does anyone know anything about Rusty Cullen's MB parts website? I do not know the reason for this arrangement. it's very common. what happens is that the major parts wholesalers (such as worldpac, one of the biggest) basically make it hard to do anything else; they give you the widgets for your website to set up the direct orders from the wholesaler. rusty was using worldpac, don't know what the story is now. i once did some consulting helping a bmw parts vendor set up a worldpac based site once, i wasn't terribly impressed with worldpac's internet technical acumen -- but it didn't matter, it was impossible to not do business with them. richard ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Nov 2009 22:29:20 -0500 From: Steve Morelen Subject: RE: [db] rusty?
