On the plus side, my net cost was $5 for a 2-pack of 7506 bulbs, and I got a $40 off coupon for buying a battery from Lynnwood MB in the next 90 days from the free roadside assistance jump start call. So, as long as the problem doesn't recur, I'm actually *ahead* money-wise! Go figure... :) - -bkc Lynnwood, WA (his) '76 MB 240D [W115.117/616.916] (hers) '92 Toyota Celica GT (ours) '93 MB 300D 2.5 Turbo [W124.128/602.962] On Thu Dec 10, 2009, John Meister wrote: > > sounds like a bad ground... the german wiring is very brittle normally, > but this cold makes it worse... suspect that the wiring near the door > switch or the switch itself may be the problem... the other thing > you might look at is if the seat belt recevier has something in it > and if the wiring is all connected there. > > I still don't have my back seat light working from the pass side rear door > or dash switch... works from the dr side rear door... weird... > > the problem started in the trunk I had a bungee cord over the trunk hinge > and it nicked the wiring bundle on the driver's side... sheesh, how's a guy > supposed to secure his WVO buckets in the trunk? :) > > john > > > On Thu, 10 Dec 2009, Bruce Caruthers wrote: > > # Odd problem popped up on Tuesday, still ongoing.
