FIRST FLIGHT of the 787 - Tues - 15 Dec 2009 - 1000 hrs - Pacific time! WEBCAST: *** http://www.newairplane.com/ *** ================================================================================================== the 787 passed the taxi tests this weekend... 1st flight is scheduled from Paine Field (across the street from where I work) I'm authorized to be on the flight line... but would have to be in queue by 8am, walk out to the field with 6,000 co-workers and, here's the hard part, STAND for about two hours in the rain... no cover, no seating... the rain part doesn't bother me, but back troubles prevent me from standing that long... :( and... if there is any standing water or the weather gets worse it'll be rescheduled. I have a few ideas on where else I might be able to view... have this "need" to snap a few historic pictures... this is history in the making... happy/proud to be part of this team... we're all looking forward to tomorrow... pray for good weather and a safe flight. the flight will last just over 5 hours and land at Boeing Field in Seattle. john my pictures of the rollout and of the dreamlifter: http://fotomeister.us/2007/07-July-08-787_rollout/ALL-fz7.html http://fotomeister.us/2007/07-July-08-787_rollout/ALL-fz50.html http://fotomeister.us/2009/02-Feb-06-DREAMLIFTER-take-off/ Like the sticker says: "If it ain't Boeing, I'm not going!" ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Dec 2009 21:01:19 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: [db] OT: 'twas the night before first flight (fwd) fyi ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Twas the night before the first flight of the 787...
