His 300E gets 16-18 mpg in town my 300D gets 30 mpg in town. sure, he pays less at the pump PER gallon... but any clod with a calculator can quickly figure out that the Diesel is a better deal. same thing is true with just about any other comparison of like vehicles... Diesel is vastly more efficient, longer lived and more economical on oh so many levels... even with a big truck, you're better off... say an F250... a gas rig will get what, 12 mpg if you're lucky? and 16 mpg with the Diesel. That's 4 mpg difference or 25% better efficiency... what's the delta on the fuel costs? about 14%, that means you're still ahead... and more so if you drive more. And with a Diesel you never had to mess with spark plugs... ;) I've run the math several times... Diesel always wins. Hands down if you consider WVO and BioDiesel... john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 si vis pacem, para bellum http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Wed, 17 Feb 2010, Michel Balea wrote: # This is what happened in France.
