As much as I dislike the VW rubber band, fear the automatic and other maintenance issues I think keeping the Jetta TDI is looking like a pretty good idea... Just need to fix my cruise control, OTS and call it good... hey, my repairs were pretty good... got 50% fixed, right? oil light doesn't come on and the clock works... also fixed my headrest, so that actually means 3/5 items fixed... 60%... woo-hoo... ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -o|||||o- fahrvergnugen y'all Snohomish, Washington - where Jeeps and VWs don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 TRSTGZS http://JohnMeister.com HTTP://WAGONEERS.COM http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 03 Jan 2012 20:45:20 -0500 From: Michael Frank Subject: Re: [db] used Diesels Cheap fix for a spongy wheel is a syringe filled with super glue or slow setting epoxy. The tdis are nice but compared to a benz a lot more maintenance. Belt, egr, this and that. Lots of nice features.
