The mechanical parts will be cheap for this car but try buying body rubber. I learned how to make it with duct tape, black RTV, and spit. I think they look better in the lighter colors. And while I am making aesthetic pronouncements, let me say that the coupe before this one was so ugly it was cool. I am driving a VW with the injectors buried too deep to play with and am well on my to becoming a recovered wrench but I love my 123 coupe enough to make a spot for it in the garage to save for a kid who is not even half-way to being old enough to drive so I guess I can take a five-year holiday before its time to start getting it ready for (and with) him. The Tijuana Bondo skin-coat is peeling off after a dozen years or so. Most of the work will peeling that off--so I can take it out to have it done again. Anybody know any tricks for bondo removal? Downside is those were solid castings and I don't know about sheetmetal it might do more damage than help unless you can dampen it with something.
