Job 9:1 Then Job answered and said, Job 9:1 Then Job answered, Job|9|1|ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Ιωβ λέγει
Job 9:2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? Job 9:2 "In truth I know that this is so; But how can a man be in the right before God? Job|9|2|ἐπ᾽ ἀληθείας οἶδα ὅτι οὕτως ἐστίν πῶς γὰρ ἔσται δίκαιος βροτὸς παρὰ κυρίῳ
Job 9:3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. Job 9:3 "If one wished to dispute with Him, He could not answer Him once in a thousand times. Job|9|3|ἐὰν γὰρ βούληται κριθῆναι αὐτῷ οὐ μὴ ὑπακούσῃ αὐτῷ ἵνα μὴ ἀντείπῃ πρὸς ἕνα λόγον αὐτοῦ ἐκ χιλίων

Job 9:11 Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not. Job 9:11 "Were He to pass by me, I would not see Him; Were He to move past me, I would not perceive Him. Job|9|11|ἐὰν ὑπερβῇ με οὐ μὴ ἴδω καὶ ἐὰν παρέλθῃ με οὐδ᾽ ὧς ἔγνων
Job 9:12 Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou? Job 9:12 "Were He to snatch away, who could restrain Him? Who could say to Him, 'What are You doing?' Job|9|12|ἐὰν ἀπαλλάξῃ τίς ἀποστρέψει ἢ τίς ἐρεῖ αὐτῷ τί ἐποίησας
Job 9:13 If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him. Job 9:13 "God will not turn back His anger; Beneath Him crouch the helpers of Rahab. Job|9|13|αὐτὸς γὰρ ἀπέστραπται ὀργήν ὑπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐκάμφθησαν κήτη τὰ ὑπ᾽ οὐρανόν
Job 9:14 How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him? Job 9:14 "How then can I answer Him, And choose my words before Him? Job|9|14|ἐὰν δέ μου ὑπακούσηται ἦ διακρινεῖ τὰ ῥήματά μου
Job 9:15 Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge. Job 9:15 "For though I were right, I could not answer; I would have to implore the mercy of my judge. Job|9|15|ἐάν τε γὰρ ὦ δίκαιος οὐκ εἰσακούσεταί μου τοῦ κρίματος αὐτοῦ δεηθήσομαι
Job 9:16 If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice. Job 9:16 "If I called and He answered me, I could not believe that He was listening to my voice. Job|9|16|ἐάν τε καλέσω καὶ ὑπακούσῃ οὐ πιστεύω ὅτι εἰσακήκοέν μου
Job 9:17 For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause. Job 9:17 "For He bruises me with a tempest And multiplies my wounds without cause. Job|9|17|μὴ γνόφῳ με ἐκτρίψῃ πολλὰ δέ μου τὰ συντρίμματα πεποίηκεν διὰ κενῆς
Job 9:18 He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness. Job 9:18 "He will not allow me to get my breath, But saturates me with bitterness. Job|9|18|οὐκ ἐᾷ γάρ με ἀναπνεῦσαι ἐνέπλησεν δέ με πικρίας
Job 9:19 If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead? Job 9:19 "If it is a matter of power, behold, He is the strong one! And if it is a matter of justice, who can summon Him? Job|9|19|ὅτι μὲν γὰρ ἰσχύι κρατεῖ τίς οὖν κρίματι αὐτοῦ ἀντιστήσεται
Job 9:20 If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. Job 9:24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he? Job 9:24 "The earth is given into the hand of the wicked; He covers the faces of its judges. If it is not He, then who is it? Job 9:27 If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself: Job 9:27 "Though I say, 'I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my sad countenance and be cheerful,' Job|9|27|ἐάν τε γὰρ εἴπω ἐπιλήσομαι λαλῶν συγκύψας τῷ προσώπῳ στενάξω

Job 9:31 Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me. Job 9:31 Yet You would plunge me into the pit, And my own clothes would abhor me. Job|9|31|ἱκανῶς ἐν ῥύπῳ με ἔβαψας ἐβδελύξατο δέ με ἡ στολή

Job 10:1 My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul. Job 10:3 Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked? Job 10:3 'Is it right for You indeed to oppress, To reject the labor of Your hands, And to look favorably on the schemes of the wicked? Job 10:4 Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth? Job 10:4 'Have You eyes of flesh? Or do You see as a man sees? Job|10|4|ἦ ὥσπερ βροτὸς ὁρᾷ καθορᾷς ἢ καθὼς ὁρᾷ ἄνθρωπος βλέψῃ
Job 10:5 Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man's days, Job 10:5 'Are Your days as the days of a mortal, Or Your years as man's years, Job|10|5|ἦ ὁ βίος σου ἀνθρώπινός ἐστιν ἢ τὰ ἔτη σου ἀνδρός
Job 10:6 That thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin? Job 10:6 That You should seek for my guilt And search after my sin? Job|10|6|ὅτι ἀνεζήτησας τὴν ἀνομίαν μου καὶ τὰς ἁμαρτίας μου ἐξιχνίασας
Job 10:7 Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thine hand. Job 10:7 'According to Your knowledge I am indeed not guilty, Yet there is no deliverance from Your hand. Job|10|7|οἶδας γὰρ ὅτι οὐκ ἠσέβησα ἀλλὰ τίς ἐστιν ὁ ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν σου ἐξαιρούμενος
Job 10:8 Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me. Job 10:8 'Your hands fashioned and made me altogether, And would You destroy me? Job|10|8|αἱ χεῖρές σου ἔπλασάν με καὶ ἐποίησάν με μετὰ ταῦτα μεταβαλών με ἔπαισας
Job 10:9 Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again? Job 10:9 'Remember now, that You have made me as clay; And would You turn me into dust again? Job|10|9|μνήσθητι ὅτι πηλόν με ἔπλασας εἰς δὲ γῆν με πάλιν ἀποστρέφεις
Job 10:10 Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? Job 10:10 'Did You not pour me out like milk And curdle me like cheese; Job|10|10|ἦ οὐχ ὥσπερ γάλα με ἤμελξας ἐτύρωσας δέ με ἴσα τυρῷ
Job 10:11 Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews. Job 10:11 Clothe me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews? Job|10|11|δέρμα καὶ κρέας με ἐνέδυσας ὀστέοις δὲ καὶ νεύροις με ἐνεῖρας
Job 10:12 Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. Job 10:12 'You have granted me life and lovingkindness; And Your care has preserved my spirit. Job|10|12|ζωὴν δὲ καὶ ἔλεος ἔθου παρ᾽ ἐμοί ἡ δὲ ἐπισκοπή σου ἐφύλαξέν μου τὸ πνεῦμα
Job 10:13 And these things hast thou hid in thine heart: I know that this is with thee. Job 10:13 'Yet these things You have concealed in Your heart; I know that this is within You: Job|10|13|ταῦτα ἔχων ἐν σεαυτῷ οἶδα ὅτι πάντα δύνασαι ἀδυνατεῖ δέ σοι οὐθέν
Job 10:14 If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity. Job 10:14 If I sin, then You would take note of me, And would not acquit me of my guilt. Job|10|14|ἐάν τε γὰρ ἁμάρτω φυλάσσεις με ἀπὸ δὲ ἀνομίας οὐκ ἀθῷόν με πεποίηκας
Job 10:15 If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction; Job 10:15 'If I am wicked, woe to me! And if I am righteous, I dare not lift up my head. I am sated with disgrace and conscious of my misery. Job 10:16 For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion: and again thou shewest thyself marvellous upon me. Job 10:16 'Should my head be lifted up, You would hunt me like a lion; And again You would show Your power against me. Job|10|16|ἀγρεύομαι γὰρ ὥσπερ λέων εἰς σφαγήν πάλιν δὲ μεταβαλὼν δεινῶς με ὀλέκεις
Job 10:17 Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest thine indignation upon me; changes and war are against me. Job 10:17 'You renew Your witnesses against me And increase Your anger toward me; Hardship after hardship is with me. Job 10:18 Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me! Job 10:18 'Why then have You brought me out of the womb? Would that I had died and no eye had seen me! Job|10|18|ἵνα τί οὖν ἐκ κοιλίας με ἐξήγαγες καὶ οὐκ ἀπέθανον ὀφθαλμὸς δέ με οὐκ εἶδεν
Job 10:19 I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave. Job 10:19 'I should have been as though I had not been, Carried from womb to tomb.' Job|10|19|καὶ ὥσπερ οὐκ ὢν ἐγενόμην διὰ τί γὰρ ἐκ γαστρὸς εἰς μνῆμα οὐκ ἀπηλλάγην
Job 10:20 Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little, Job 10:20 "Would He not let my few days alone? Withdraw from me that I may have a little cheer Job|10|20|ἦ οὐκ ὀλίγος ἐστὶν ὁ χρόνος τοῦ βίου μου ἔασόν με ἀναπαύσασθαι μικρὸν

Job 10:22 A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness. Job 11:2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified? Job 11:2 "Shall a multitude of words go unanswered, And a talkative man be acquitted? Job|11|2|ὁ τὰ πολλὰ λέγων καὶ ἀντακούσεται ἢ καὶ ὁ εὔλαλος οἴεται εἶναι δίκαιος εὐλογημένος γεννητὸς γυναικὸς ὀλιγόβιος
Job 11:3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed? Job 11:3 "Shall your boasts silence men? And shall you scoff and none rebuke? Job|11|3|μὴ πολὺς ἐν ῥήμασιν γίνου οὐ γάρ ἐστιν ὁ ἀντικρινόμενός σοι
Job 11:4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes. Job 11:4 "For you have said, 'My teaching is pure, And I am innocent in your eyes.' Job|11|4|μὴ γὰρ λέγε ὅτι καθαρός εἰμι τοῖς ἔργοις καὶ ἄμεμπτος ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ
Job 11:5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee; Job 11:5 "But would that God might speak, And open His lips against you, Job|11|5|ἀλλὰ πῶς ἂν ὁ κύριος λαλήσαι πρὸς σέ καὶ ἀνοίξει χείλη αὐτοῦ μετὰ σοῦ
Job 11:6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth. Job 11:6 And show you the secrets of wisdom! For sound wisdom has two sides. Know then that God forgets a part of your iniquity. Job|11|6|εἶτα ἀναγγελεῖ σοι δύναμιν σοφίας ὅτι διπλοῦς ἔσται τῶν κατὰ σέ καὶ τότε γνώσῃ ὅτι ἄξιά σοι ἀπέβη ἀπὸ κυρίου ὧν ἡμάρτηκας
Job 11:7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? Job 11:7 "Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty? Job|11|7|ἦ ἴχνος κυρίου εὑρήσεις ἢ εἰς τὰ ἔσχατα ἀφίκου ἃ ἐποίησεν ὁ παντοκράτωρ
Job 11:8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? Job 11:8 "They are high as the heavens, what can you do? Deeper than Sheol, what can you know? Job|11|8|ὑψηλὸς ὁ οὐρανός καὶ τί ποιήσεις βαθύτερα δὲ τῶν ἐν ᾅδου τί οἶδας
Job 11:9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea. Job 11:9 "Its measure is longer than the earth And broader than the sea. Job|11|9|ἢ μακρότερα μέτρου γῆς ἢ εὔρους θαλάσσης
Job 11:10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him? Job 11:10 "If He passes by or shuts up, Or calls an assembly, who can restrain Him? Job|11|10|ἐὰν δὲ καταστρέψῃ τὰ πάντα τίς ἐρεῖ αὐτῷ τί ἐποίησας
Job 11:11 For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it? Job 11:11 "For He knows false men, And He sees iniquity without investigating. Job|11|11|αὐτὸς γὰρ οἶδεν ἔργα ἀνόμων ἰδὼν δὲ ἄτοπα οὐ παρόψεται
Job 11:12 For vain men would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt. Job 11:12 "An idiot will become intelligent When the foal of a wild donkey is born a man. Job|11|12|ἄνθρωπος δὲ ἄλλως νήχεται λόγοις βροτὸς δὲ γεννητὸς γυναικὸς ἴσα ὄνῳ ἐρημίτῃ
Job 11:13 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; Job 11:13 "If you would direct your heart right And spread out your hand to Him, Job|11|13|εἰ γὰρ σὺ καθαρὰν ἔθου τὴν καρδίαν σου ὑπτιάζεις δὲ χεῖρας πρὸς αὐτόν
Job 11:14 If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. Job 11:15 For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear: Job 11:15 "Then, indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect, And you would be steadfast and not fear. Job 11:17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning. Job 11:17 "Your life would be brighter than noonday; Darkness would be like the morning. Job|11|17|ἡ δὲ εὐχή σου ὥσπερ ἑωσφόρος ἐκ δὲ μεσημβρίας ἀνατελεῖ σοι ζωή
Job 11:18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety. Job 11:18 "Then you would trust, because there is hope; And you would look around and rest securely. Job|11|18|πεποιθώς τε ἔσῃ ὅτι ἔστιν σοι ἐλπίς ἐκ δὲ μερίμνης καὶ φροντίδος ἀναφανεῖταί σοι εἰρήνη
Job 11:19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee. Job 11:19 "You would lie down and none would disturb you, And many would entreat your favor. Job|11|19|ἡσυχάσεις γάρ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ πολεμῶν σε μεταβαλόμενοι δὲ πολλοί σου δεηθήσονται
Job 11:20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost. Job 12:3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these? Job 12:3 "But I have intelligence as well as you; I am not inferior to you. And who does not know such things as these? Job|12|3|κἀμοὶ μὲν καρδία καθ᾽ ὑμᾶς ἐστιν
Job 12:4 I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn. Job 12:5 He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease. Job 12:5 "He who is at ease holds calamity in contempt, As prepared for those whose feet slip. Job|12|5|εἰς χρόνον γὰρ τακτὸν ἡτοίμαστο πεσεῖν ὑπὸ ἄλλους οἴκους τε αὐτοῦ ἐκπορθεῖσθαι ὑπὸ ἀνόμων
Job 12:6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly. Job 12:6 "The tents of the destroyers prosper, And those who provoke God are secure, Whom God brings into their power. Job 12:14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
