2Co 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Co 5:1 For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2Co 5:2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 2 Co 5:2 For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, Co2|5|2|καὶ γὰρ ἐν τούτῳ στενάζομεν, τὸ οἰκητήριον ἡμῶν τὸ ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἐπενδύσασθαι ἐπιποθοῦντες,
2Co 5:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 2 Co 5:3 inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked.
2Co 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 2 Co 5:4 For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life.
2Co 5:5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 2 Co 5:5 Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge.
2Co 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 2 Co 5:6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord" Co2|5|6|θαρροῦντες οὗν πάντοτε καὶ εἰδότες ὅτι ἐνδημοῦντες ἐν τῶ σώματι ἐκδημοῦμεν ἀπὸ τοῦ κυρίου,
2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 2 Co 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight" Co2|5|7|διὰ πίστεως γὰρ περιπατοῦμεν οὐ διὰ εἴδους _
2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Co 5:8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
2Co 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 2 Co 5:9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.
2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
2Co 5:11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. 2 Co 5:11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.
2Co 5:12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. 2 Co 5:12 We are not again commending ourselves to you but are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you will have an answer for those who take pride in appearance and not in heart.
2Co 5:13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. 2 Co 5:13 For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
2Co 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 2 Co 5:14 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; Co2|5|14|ἡ γὰρ ἀγάπη τοῦ χριστοῦ συνέχει ἡμᾶς, κρίναντας τοῦτο, ὅτι εἷς ὑπὲρ πάντων ἀπέθανεν· ἄρα οἱ πάντες ἀπέθανον·
2Co 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 2 Co 5:15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
2Co 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 2 Co 5:16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Co 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Co 5:18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, Co2|5|18|τὰ δὲ πάντα ἐκ τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ καταλλάξαντος ἡμᾶς ἑαυτῶ διὰ χριστοῦ καὶ δόντος ἡμῖν τὴν διακονίαν τῆς καταλλαγῆς,
2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2 Co 5:19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
2Co 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Co 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Co 5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2Co 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 2 Co 6:1 And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain" Co2|6|1|συνεργοῦντες δὲ καὶ παρακαλοῦμεν μὴ εἰς κενὸν τὴν χάριν τοῦ θεοῦ δέξασθαι ὑμᾶς _
2Co 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Co 6:2 for He says," At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you." Behold, now is"the acceptable time," behold, now is"the day of salvation"" Co2|6|2|λέγει γάρ, καιρῶ δεκτῶ ἐπήκουσά σου καὶ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ σωτηρίας ἐβοήθησά σοι· ἰδοὺ νῦν καιρὸς εὐπρόσδεκτος, ἰδοὺ νῦν ἡμέρα σωτηρίας _
2Co 6:3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: 2 Co 6:3 giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, Co2|6|3|μηδεμίαν ἐν μηδενὶ διδόντες προσκοπήν, ἵνα μὴ μωμηθῇ ἡ διακονία,
2Co 6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, 2 Co 6:4 but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, Co2|6|4|ἀλλ᾽ ἐν παντὶ συνίσταντες ἑαυτοὺς ὡς θεοῦ διάκονοι, ἐν ὑπομονῇ πολλῇ, ἐν θλίψεσιν, ἐν ἀνάγκαις, ἐν στενοχωρίαις,
2Co 6:5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; 2 Co 6:5 in beatings, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in hunger, Co2|6|5|ἐν πληγαῖς, ἐν φυλακαῖς, ἐν ἀκαταστασίαις, ἐν κόποις, ἐν ἀγρυπνίαις, ἐν νηστείαις,
2Co 6:6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, 2 Co 6:6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love, Co2|6|6|ἐν ἁγνότητι, ἐν γνώσει, ἐν μακροθυμίᾳ, ἐν χρηστότητι, ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ, ἐν ἀγάπῃ ἀνυποκρίτῳ,
2Co 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 2 Co 6:7 in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, Co2|6|7|ἐν λόγῳ ἀληθείας, ἐν δυνάμει θεοῦ· διὰ τῶν ὅπλων τῆς δικαιοσύνης τῶν δεξιῶν καὶ ἀριστερῶν,
2Co 6:8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; 2 Co 6:8 by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; regarded as deceivers and yet true; Co2|6|8|διὰ δόξης καὶ ἀτιμίας, διὰ δυσφημίας καὶ εὐφημίας· ὡς πλάνοι καὶ ἀληθεῖς,
2Co 6:9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; 2 Co 6:9 as unknown yet well-known, as dying yet behold, we live; as punished yet not put to death, Co2|6|9|ὡς ἀγνοούμενοι καὶ ἐπιγινωσκόμενοι, ὡς ἀποθνῄσκοντες καὶ ἰδοὺ ζῶμεν, ὡς παιδευόμενοι καὶ μὴ θανατούμενοι,
2Co 6:10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. 2 Co 6:10 as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing yet possessing all things.
2Co 6:11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. 2 Co 6:11 Our mouth has spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, our heart is opened wide.
2Co 6:12 Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. 2 Co 6:12 You are not restrained by us, but you are restrained in your own affections.
2Co 6:13 Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. 2 Co 6:13 Now in a like exchange" I speak as to children"open wide to us also.
2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Co 6:14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Co2|6|14|μὴ γίνεσθε ἑτεροζυγοῦντες ἀπίστοις· τίς γὰρ μετοχὴ δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ ἀνομίᾳ; ἢ τίς κοινωνία φωτὶ πρὸς σκότος;
2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 2 Co 6:15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Co2|6|15|τίς δὲ συμφώνησις χριστοῦ πρὸς βελιάρ, ἢ τίς μερὶς πιστῶ μετὰ ἀπίστου;
2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2 Co 6:16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said," I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 2 Co 6:17 "Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate," says the Lord." And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you.
2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Co 6:18 "And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me," Says the Lord Almighty.
2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Co 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2Co 7:2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. 2 Co 7:2 Make room for us in your hearts; we wronged no one, we corrupted no one, we took advantage of no one.
2Co 7:3 I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. 2 Co 7:3 I do not speak to condemn you, for I have said before that you are in our hearts to die together and to live together.
2Co 7:4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. 2 Co 7:4 Great is my confidence in you; great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort; I am overflowing with joy in all our affliction.
2Co 7:5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. 2 Co 7:5 For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts without, fears within.
2Co 7:6 Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus; 2 Co 7:6 But God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus; Co2|7|6|ἀλλ᾽ ὁ παρακαλῶν τοὺς ταπεινοὺς παρεκάλεσεν ἡμᾶς ὁ θεὸς ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ τίτου·
2Co 7:7 And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more. 2 Co 7:7 and not only by his coming, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, as he reported to us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced even more.
2Co 7:8 For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season. 2 Co 7:8 For though I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it"for I see that that letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while" Co2|7|8|ὅτι εἰ καὶ ἐλύπησα ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐπιστολῇ, οὐ μεταμέλομαι· εἰ καὶ μετεμελόμην βλέπω [γὰρ] ὅτι ἡ ἐπιστολὴ ἐκείνη εἰ καὶ πρὸς ὥραν ἐλύπησεν ὑμᾶς,
2Co 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 2 Co 7:9 I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us.
2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 2 Co 7:10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.
2Co 7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. 2 Co 7:11 For behold what earnestness this very thing, this godly sorrow, has produced in you: what vindication of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what avenging of wrong! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be innocent in the matter.
2Co 7:12 Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you. 2 Co 7:12 So although I wrote to you, it was not for the sake of the offender nor for the sake of the one offended, but that your earnestness on our behalf might be made known to you in the sight of God.
2Co 7:13 Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all. 2 Co 7:13 For this reason we have been comforted. And besides our comfort, we rejoiced even much more for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.
2Co 7:14 For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth. 2 Co 7:14 For if in anything I have boasted to him about you, I was not put to shame; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, so also our boasting before Titus proved to be the truth.
2Co 7:15 And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him. 2 Co 7:15 His affection abounds all the more toward you, as he remembers the obedience of you all, how you received him with fear and trembling.
2Co 7:16 I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things. 2 Co 7:16 I rejoice that in everything I have confidence in you.
2Co 8:1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 2 Co 8:1 Now, brethren, we wish to make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the churches of Macedonia, Co2|8|1|γνωρίζομεν δὲ ὑμῖν, ἀδελφοί, τὴν χάριν τοῦ θεοῦ τὴν δεδομένην ἐν ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις τῆς μακεδονίας,
2Co 8:2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. 2 Co 8:2 that in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality.
2Co 8:3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; 2 Co 8:3 For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord, Co2|8|3|ὅτι κατὰ δύναμιν, μαρτυρῶ, καὶ παρὰ δύναμιν, αὐθαίρετοι
2Co 8:4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 2 Co 8:4 begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints, Co2|8|4|μετὰ πολλῆς παρακλήσεως δεόμενοι ἡμῶν τὴν χάριν καὶ τὴν κοινωνίαν τῆς διακονίας τῆς εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους _
2Co 8:5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. 2 Co 8:5 and this, not as we had expected, but they first gave themselves to the Lord and to us by the will of God.
2Co 8:6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. 2 Co 8:6 So we urged Titus that as he had previously made a beginning, so he would also complete in you this gracious work as well.
2Co 8:7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. 2 Co 8:7 But just as you abound in everything, in faith and utterance and knowledge and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you abound in this gracious work also.
2Co 8:8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. 2 Co 8:8 I am not speaking this as a command, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity of your love also.
2Co 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. 2 Co 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
2Co 8:10 And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago. 2 Co 8:10 I give my opinion in this matter, for this is to your advantage, who were the first to begin a year ago not only to do this, but also to desire to do it.
2Co 8:11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. 2 Co 8:11 But now finish doing it also, so that just as there was the readiness to desire it, so there may be also the completion of it by your ability.
2Co 8:12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. 2 Co 8:12 For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
2Co 8:13 For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: 2 Co 8:13 For this is not for the ease of others and for your affliction, but by way of equality" Co2|8|13|οὐ γὰρ ἵνα ἄλλοις ἄνεσις, ὑμῖν θλῖψις· ἀλλ᾽ ἐξ ἰσότητος
2Co 8:14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: 2 Co 8:14 at this present time your abundance being a supply for their need, so that their abundance also may become a supply for your need, that there may be equality; Co2|8|14|ἐν τῶ νῦν καιρῶ τὸ ὑμῶν περίσσευμα εἰς τὸ ἐκείνων ὑστέρημα, ἵνα καὶ τὸ ἐκείνων περίσσευμα γένηται εἰς τὸ ὑμῶν ὑστέρημα, ὅπως γένηται ἰσότης·
2Co 8:15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack. 2 Co 8:15 as it is written," He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little had no lack."
2Co 8:16 But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. 2 Co 8:16 But thanks be to God who puts the same earnestness on your behalf in the heart of Titus.
2Co 8:17 For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you. 2 Co 8:17 For he not only accepted our appeal, but being himself very earnest, he has gone to you of his own accord.
2Co 8:18 And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches; 2 Co 8:18 We have sent along with him the brother whose fame in the things of the gospel has spread through all the churches; Co2|8|18|συνεπέμψαμεν δὲ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ τὸν ἀδελφὸν οὖ ὁ ἔπαινος ἐν τῶ εὐαγγελίῳ διὰ πασῶν τῶν ἐκκλησιῶν
2Co 8:19 And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind: 2 Co 8:19 and not only this, but he has also been appointed by the churches to travel with us in this gracious work, which is being administered by us for the glory of the Lord Himself, and to show our readiness, Co2|8|19|_ οὐ μόνον δὲ ἀλλὰ καὶ χειροτονηθεὶς ὑπὸ τῶν ἐκκλησιῶν συνέκδημος ἡμῶν σὺν τῇ χάριτι ταύτῃ τῇ διακονουμένῃ ὑφ᾽ ἡμῶν πρὸς τὴν [αὐτοῦ] τοῦ κυρίου δόξαν καὶ προθυμίαν ἡμῶν _
2Co 8:20 Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us: 2 Co 8:20 taking precaution so that no one will discredit us in our administration of this generous gift; Co2|8|20|στελλόμενοι τοῦτο μή τις ἡμᾶς μωμήσηται ἐν τῇ ἁδρότητι ταύτῃ τῇ διακονουμένῃ ὑφ᾽ ἡμῶν·
2Co 8:21 Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. 2 Co 8:21 for we have regard for what is honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
2Co 8:22 And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you. 2 Co 8:22 We have sent with them our brother, whom we have often tested and found diligent in many things, but now even more diligent because of his great confidence in you.
2Co 8:23 Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ. 2 Co 8:23 As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker among you; as for our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, a glory to Christ.
2Co 8:24 Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf. 2 Co 8:24 Therefore openly before the churches, show them the proof of your love and of our reason for boasting about you.
2Co 9:1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: 2 Co 9:1 For it is superfluous for me to write to you about this ministry to the saints; Co2|9|1|περὶ μὲν γὰρ τῆς διακονίας τῆς εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους περισσόν μοί ἐστιν τὸ γράφειν ὑμῖν,
2Co 9:2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many. 2 Co 9:2 for I know your readiness, of which I boast about you to the Macedonians, namely, that Achaia has been prepared since last year, and your zeal has stirred up most of them.
2Co 9:3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready: 2 Co 9:3 But I have sent the brethren, in order that our boasting about you may not be made empty in this case, so that, as I was saying, you may be prepared; Co2|9|3|ἔπεμψα δὲ τοὺς ἀδελφούς, ἵνα μὴ τὸ καύχημα ἡμῶν τὸ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν κενωθῇ ἐν τῶ μέρει τούτῳ, ἵνα καθὼς ἔλεγον παρεσκευασμένοι ἦτε,
2Co 9:4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting. 2 Co 9:4 otherwise if any Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we"not to speak of you"will be put to shame by this confidence.
2Co 9:5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. 2 Co 9:5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brethren that they would go on ahead to you and arrange beforehand your previously promised bountiful gift, so that the same would be ready as a bountiful gift and not affected by covetousness.
2Co 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 2 Co 9:6 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Co 9:7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; Co2|9|8|δυνατεῖ δὲ ὁ θεὸς πᾶσαν χάριν περισσεῦσαι εἰς ὑμᾶς, ἵνα ἐν παντὶ πάντοτε πᾶσαν αὐτάρκειαν ἔχοντες περισσεύητε εἰς πᾶν ἔργον ἀγαθόν,
2Co 9:9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 2 Co 9:9 as it is written," He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness endures forever."
2Co 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 2 Co 9:10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; Co2|9|10|ὁ δὲ ἐπιχορηγῶν σπόρον τῶ σπείροντι καὶ ἄρτον εἰς βρῶσιν χορηγήσει καὶ πληθυνεῖ τὸν σπόρον ὑμῶν καὶ αὐξήσει τὰ γενήματα τῆς δικαιοσύνης ὑμῶν·
2Co 9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 2 Co 9:11 you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.
2Co 9:12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; 2 Co 9:12 For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.
2Co 9:13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; 2 Co 9:13 Because of the proof given by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all, Co2|9|13|διὰ τῆς δοκιμῆς τῆς διακονίας ταύτης δοξάζοντες τὸν θεὸν ἐπὶ τῇ ὑποταγῇ τῆς ὁμολογίας ὑμῶν εἰς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ χριστοῦ καὶ ἁπλότητι τῆς κοινωνίας εἰς αὐτοὺς καὶ εἰς πάντας,
2Co 9:14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. 2 Co 9:14 while they also, by prayer on your behalf, yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.
2Co 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. 2 Co 9:15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
