2Ti 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; 2 Ti 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience the way my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day, Ti2|1|3|χάριν ἔχω τῶ θεῶ, ᾧ λατρεύω ἀπὸ προγόνων ἐν καθαρᾷ συνειδήσει, ὡς ἀδιάλειπτον ἔχω τὴν περὶ σοῦ μνείαν ἐν ταῖς δεήσεσίν μου νυκτὸς καὶ ἡμέρας,
2Ti 1:4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; 2 Ti 1:4 longing to see you, even as I recall your tears, so that I may be filled with joy.
2Ti 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. 2 Ti 1:5 For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well.
2Ti 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 2 Ti 1:6 For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Ti 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 2 Ti 1:8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God, Ti2|1|8|μὴ οὗν ἐπαισχυνθῇς τὸ μαρτύριον τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν μηδὲ ἐμὲ τὸν δέσμιον αὐτοῦ, ἀλλὰ συγκακοπάθησον τῶ εὐαγγελίῳ κατὰ δύναμιν θεοῦ,
2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 2 Ti 1:9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, Ti2|1|9|τοῦ σώσαντος ἡμᾶς καὶ καλέσαντος κλήσει ἁγίᾳ, οὐ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα ἡμῶν ἀλλὰ κατὰ ἰδίαν πρόθεσιν καὶ χάριν, τὴν δοθεῖσαν ἡμῖν ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ πρὸ χρόνων αἰωνίων,
2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 2 Ti 1:10 but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, Ti2|1|10|φανερωθεῖσαν δὲ νῦν διὰ τῆς ἐπιφανείας τοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ, καταργήσαντος μὲν τὸν θάνατον φωτίσαντος δὲ ζωὴν καὶ ἀφθαρσίαν διὰ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου,
2Ti 1:11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 2 Ti 1:11 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle and a teacher.
2Ti 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 2 Ti 1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.
2Ti 1:13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Ti 1:13 Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 1:14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us. 2 Ti 1:14 Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.
2Ti 1:15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. 2 Ti 1:15 You are aware of the fact that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.
2Ti 1:16 The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain: 2 Ti 1:16 The Lord grant mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains; Ti2|1|16|δῴη ἔλεος ὁ κύριος τῶ ὀνησιφόρου οἴκῳ, ὅτι πολλάκις με ἀνέψυξεν καὶ τὴν ἅλυσίν μου οὐκ ἐπαισχύνθη,
2Ti 1:17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me. 2 Ti 1:17 but when he was in Rome, he eagerly searched for me and found me" Ti2|1|17|ἀλλὰ γενόμενος ἐν ῥώμῃ σπουδαίως ἐζήτησέν με καὶ εὖρεν
2Ti 1:18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well. 2 Ti 1:18 the Lord grant to him to find mercy from the Lord on that day"and you know very well what services he rendered at Ephesus.
2Ti 2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 Ti 2:1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 2 Ti 2:2 The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
2Ti 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 2 Ti 2:3 Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
2Ti 2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 2 Ti 2:4 No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.
2Ti 2:5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. 2 Ti 2:5 Also if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not win the prize unless he competes according to the rules.
2Ti 2:6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits. 2 Ti 2:6 The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to receive his share of the crops.
2Ti 2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. 2 Ti 2:7 Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.
2Ti 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: 2 Ti 2:8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descendant of David, according to my gospel, Ti2|2|8|μνημόνευε ἰησοῦν χριστὸν ἐγηγερμένον ἐκ νεκρῶν, ἐκ σπέρματος δαυίδ, κατὰ τὸ εὐαγγέλιόν μου·
2Ti 2:9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound. 2 Ti 2:9 for which I suffer hardship even to imprisonment as a criminal; but the word of God is not imprisoned.
2Ti 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 2 Ti 2:10 For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.
2Ti 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 2 Ti 2:11 It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; Ti2|2|11|πιστὸς ὁ λόγος· εἰ γὰρ συναπεθάνομεν, καὶ συζήσομεν·
2Ti 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 2 Ti 2:12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us; Ti2|2|12|εἰ ὑπομένομεν, καὶ συμβασιλεύσομεν· εἰ ἀρνησόμεθα, κἀκεῖνος ἀρνήσεται ἡμᾶς·
2Ti 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 2 Ti 2:13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
2Ti 2:14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. 2 Ti 2:14 Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers.
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Ti 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
2Ti 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 2 Ti 2:16 But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, Ti2|2|16|τὰς δὲ βεβήλους κενοφωνίας περιΐστασο· ἐπὶ πλεῖον γὰρ προκόψουσιν ἀσεβείας,
2Ti 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 2 Ti 2:17 and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, Ti2|2|17|καὶ ὁ λόγος αὐτῶν ὡς γάγγραινα νομὴν ἕξει· ὧν ἐστιν ὑμέναιος καὶ φίλητος,
2Ti 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 2 Ti 2:18 men who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset the faith of some.
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 2 Ti 2:19 Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal," The Lord knows those who are His," and," Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."
2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 2 Ti 2:20 Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor.
2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. 2 Ti 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
2Ti 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Ti 2:22 Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
2Ti 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. 2 Ti 2:23 But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels.
2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 2 Ti 2:24 The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, Ti2|2|24|δοῦλον δὲ κυρίου οὐ δεῖ μάχεσθαι, ἀλλὰ ἤπιον εἶναι πρὸς πάντας, διδακτικόν, ἀνεξίκακον,
2Ti 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 2 Ti 2:25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, Ti2|2|25|ἐν πραΰτητι παιδεύοντα τοὺς ἀντιδιατιθεμένους, μήποτε δώῃ αὐτοῖς ὁ θεὸς μετάνοιαν εἰς ἐπίγνωσιν ἀληθείας,
2Ti 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. 2 Ti 2:26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 Ti 3:1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 2 Ti 3:2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, Ti2|3|2|ἔσονται γὰρ οἱ ἄνθρωποι φίλαυτοι, φιλάργυροι, ἀλαζόνες, ὑπερήφανοι, βλάσφημοι, γονεῦσιν ἀπειθεῖς, ἀχάριστοι, ἀνόσιοι,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 2 Ti 3:3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, Ti2|3|3|ἄστοργοι, ἄσπονδοι, διάβολοι, ἀκρατεῖς, ἀνήμεροι, ἀφιλάγαθοι,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 2 Ti 3:4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, Ti2|3|4|προδόται, προπετεῖς, τετυφωμένοι, φιλήδονοι μᾶλλον ἢ φιλόθεοι,
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Ti 3:5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 2 Ti 3:6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, Ti2|3|6|ἐκ τούτων γάρ εἰσιν οἱ ἐνδύνοντες εἰς τὰς οἰκίας καὶ αἰχμαλωτίζοντες γυναικάρια σεσωρευμένα ἁμαρτίαις, ἀγόμενα ἐπιθυμίαις ποικίλαις,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Ti 3:7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2Ti 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 2 Ti 3:8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.
2Ti 3:9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was. 2 Ti 3:9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes's and Jambres's folly was also.
2Ti 3:10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 2 Ti 3:10 Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, Ti2|3|10|σὺ δὲ παρηκολούθησάς μου τῇ διδασκαλίᾳ, τῇ ἀγωγῇ, τῇ προθέσει, τῇ πίστει, τῇ μακροθυμίᾳ, τῇ ἀγάπῃ, τῇ ὑπομονῇ,
2Ti 3:11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 2 Ti 3:11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me!
2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Ti 3:12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
2Ti 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2 Ti 3:13 But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2Ti 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 2 Ti 3:14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, Ti2|3|14|σὺ δὲ μένε ἐν οἷς ἔμαθες καὶ ἐπιστώθης, εἰδὼς παρὰ τίνων ἔμαθες,
2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Ti 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Ti 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; Ti2|3|16|πᾶσα γραφὴ θεόπνευστος καὶ ὠφέλιμος πρὸς διδασκαλίαν, πρὸς ἐλεγμόν, πρὸς ἐπανόρθωσιν, πρὸς παιδείαν τὴν ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ,
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Ti 3:17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Ti 4:1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: Ti2|4|1|διαμαρτύρομαι ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ, τοῦ μέλλοντος κρίνειν ζῶντας καὶ νεκρούς, καὶ τὴν ἐπιφάνειαν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν βασιλείαν αὐτοῦ·
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 2 Ti 4:2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
