Ed pulls door panel

Just removed the driver door panel and window assy. 
The regulator was making odd grinding and popping noises so in I dove.  
Not the broken window clip/guide that I had assumed, looks like those were both replaced by the PO.  
It was the actual regulator that failed (not the motor, just the spool mechanism with frayed steel cable and all snarled up).

Also found best video from 1A Auto repair, who also sells parts. Ended up ordering the parts from them as they had lowest prices around and free shipping

Thought you would like to add this to your collection, matter of time before either the door lock module fritzes or the window mechanism does 
(or the clips if they are original design). My passenger side window had the clips fail and the vlass drop to the bottom of the window at about 90K.  
The driver side regulator spool part croaked at 175,000 miles.
