Merry Christmas!
Jesus is the reason for the Season...
Oh, one other detail, we that Jesus wasn't born on December 25th, that day
was selected by Constantine in 300AD to coincide with a pagan holiday when he Christianized the world...
Jesus was likely born Nisan 1, 6BC - because the shepherds would have been in the fields at night
to assist in the birthing of lambs, and event that only takes place once a year. A farmer friend
confirmed that the lambs are born in spring and would be a great risk in cold weather.
UPDATE 2024: Jonathan Cahn has provided details related to the timing of Jesus' birth.
The shepherds would only be in the field at night because the sheep were giving
birth to lambs and they would need to assist, this happens in SPRING, March-April time frame,
or in the Jewish month of Nisan. Because of the Appointed Times in Leviticus 23 and
the work of Christ, he believes Nisan 1 was the birth date of Jesus.
He cites several passages from the Torah that make this date credible.
