(Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:1 وصار قول الرب الى يونان بن أمتّاي قائلا -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:1 The word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai saying,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:2---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:2 قم اذهب الى نينوى المدينة العظيمة وناد عليها لانه قد صعد شرّهم امامي -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:2 "Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and cry against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:3---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:3 فقام يونان ليهرب الى ترشيش من وجه الرب فنزل الى يافا ووجد سفينة ذاهبة الى ترشيش فدفع اجرتها ونزل فيها ليذهب معهم الى ترشيش من وجه الرب -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:3 But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship which was going to Tarshish, paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:4---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:4 فارسل الرب ريحا شديدة الى البحر فحدث نوء عظيم في البحر حتى كادت السفينة تنكسر. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:4 The Lord hurled a great wind on the sea and there was a great storm on the sea so that the ship was about to break up.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:5---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:5 فخاف الملاحون وصرخوا كل واحد الى الهه وطرحوا الامتعة التي في السفينة الى البحر ليخفّفوا عنهم. واما يونان فكان قد نزل الى جوف السفينة واضطجع ونام نوما ثقيلا. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:5 Then the sailors became afraid and every man cried to his god, and they threw the cargo which was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone below into the hold of the ship, lain down and fallen sound asleep.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:6---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:6 فجاء اليه رئيس النوتية وقال له ما لك نائما. قم اصرخ الى الهك عسى ان يفتكر الاله فينا فلا نهلك. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:6 So the captain approached him and said, "How is it that you are sleeping? Get up, call on your god. Perhaps your god will be concerned about us so that we will not perish."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:7---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:7 وقال بعضهم لبعض هلم نلقي قرعا لنعرف بسبب من هذه البلية. فالقوا قرعا فوقعت القرعة على يونان -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:7 Each man said to his mate, "Come, let us cast lots so we may learn on whose account this calamity has struck us." So they cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:8---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:8 فقالوا له اخبرنا بسبب من هذه المصيبة علينا. ما هو عملك ومن اين اتيت. ما هي ارضك ومن اي شعب انت. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:8 Then they said to him, "Tell us, now! On whose account has this calamity struck us? What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? From what people are you?"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:9---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:9 فقال لهم انا عبراني وانا خائف من الرب اله السماء الذي صنع البحر والبر. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:9 He said to them, "I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:10---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:10 فخاف الرجال خوفا عظيما وقالوا له لماذا فعلت هذا. فان الرجال عرفوا انه هارب من وجه الرب لانه اخبرهم. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:10 Then the men became extremely frightened and they said to him, "How could you do this?" For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:11---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:11 فقالوا له ماذا نصنع بك ليسكن البحر عنا. لان البحر كان يزداد اضطرابا. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:11 So they said to him, "What should we do to you that the sea may become calm for us?"--for the sea was becoming increasingly stormy.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:12---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:12 فقال لهم خذوني واطرحوني في البحر فيسكن البحر عنكم لانني عالم انه بسببي هذا النوء العظيم عليكم -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:12 He said to them, "Pick me up and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will become calm for you, for I know that on account of me this great storm has come upon you."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:13---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:13 ولكن الرجال جذفوا ليرجّعوا السفينة الى البر فلم يستطيعوا لان البحر كان يزداد اضطرابا عليهم. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:13 However, the men rowed desperately to return to land but they could not, for the sea was becoming even stormier against them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:14---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:14 فصرخوا الى الرب وقالوا آه يا رب لا نهلك من اجل نفس هذا الرجل ولا تجعل علينا دما بريئا لانك يا رب فعلت كما شئت. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:14 Then they called on the Lord and said, "We earnestly pray, O Lord, do not let us perish on account of this man's life and do not put innocent blood on us; for You, O Lord, have done as You have pleased."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:15---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:15 ثم اخذوا يونان وطرحوه في البحر فوقف البحر عن هيجانه. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:15 So they picked up Jonah, threw him into the sea, and the sea stopped its raging.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:16---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:16 فخاف الرجال من الرب خوفا عظيما وذبحوا ذبيحة للرب ونذروا نذورا. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:16 Then the men feared the Lord greatly, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:17---- (Arabic) ﻥﺎﻧﻮﻳ 1:17 واما الرب فاعدّ حوتا عظيما ليبتلع يونان. فكان يونان في جوف الحوت ثلاثة ايام وثلاث ليال -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:17 And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 2:1 ---- written 760 B.C.
