(Hebrew) 1 ׃42 לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ מַשְׂכִּ֥יל לִבְנֵי־קֹֽרַח׃ 2 ׃42 כְּאַיָּ֗ל תַּעֲרֹ֥ג עַל־אֲפִֽיקֵי־מָ֑יִם כֵּ֤ן נַפְשִׁ֨י תַעֲרֹ֖ג אֵלֶ֣יךָ אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Psalms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psa 42:1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, O God.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Psalm 42:2---- (Hebrew) 3 ׃42 צָמְאָ֬ה נַפְשִׁ֨י ׀ לֵאלֹהִים֮ לְאֵ֢ל חָ֥י מָתַ֥י אָב֑וֹא וְ֝אֵרָאֶ֗ה פְּנֵ֣י אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Psalms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psa 42:2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Psalm 42:3---- (Hebrew) 4 ׃42 הָֽיְתָה־לִּ֬י דִמְעָתִ֣י לֶ֭חֶם יוֹמָ֣ם וָלָ֑יְלָה בֶּאֱמֹ֥ר אֵלַ֥י כָּל־הַ֝יּ֗וֹם אַיֵּ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ Psalms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psa 42:3 My tears have been my food day and night, While they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Psalm 42:4---- (Hebrew) 5 ׃42 אֵ֤לֶּה אֶזְכְּרָ֨ה ׀ וְאֶשְׁפְּכָ֬ה עָלַ֨י ׀ נַפְשִׁ֗י כִּ֤י אֶֽעֱבֹ֨ר ׀ בַּסָּךְ֮ אֶדַּדֵּ֗ם עַד־בֵּ֥ית אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים בְּקוֹל־רִנָּ֥ה וְתוֹדָ֗ה הָמ֥וֹן חוֹגֵֽג׃ Psalms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psa 42:4 These things I remember and I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God, With the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Psalm 42:5---- (Hebrew) 6 ׃42 מַה־תִּשְׁתּ֬וֹחֲחִ֨י ׀ נַפְשִׁי֮ וַתֶּהֱמִ֢י עָ֫לָ֥י הוֹחִ֣ילִי לֵֽ֭אלֹהִים כִּי־ע֥וֹד אוֹדֶ֗נּוּ יְשׁוּע֥וֹת פָּנָֽיו׃ Psalms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psa 42:5 Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Psalm 42:6---- (Hebrew) 7 ׃42 אֱֽלֹהַ֗י עָלַי֮ נַפְשִׁ֢י תִשְׁתּ֫וֹחָ֥ח עַל־כֵּ֗ן אֶ֭זְכָּרְךָ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ יַרְדֵּ֑ן וְ֝חֶרְמוֹנִ֗ים מֵהַ֥ר מִצְעָֽר׃ Psalms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psa 42:6 O my God, my soul is in despair within me; Therefore I remember You from the land of the Jordan And the peaks of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Psalm 42:7---- (Hebrew) 8 ׃42 תְּהֽוֹם־אֶל־תְּה֣וֹם ק֭וֹרֵא לְק֣וֹל צִנּוֹרֶ֑יךָ כָּֽל־מִשְׁבָּרֶ֥יךָ וְ֝גַלֶּ֗יךָ עָלַ֥י עָבָֽרוּ׃ Psalms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psa 42:7 Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Psalm 42:8---- (Hebrew) 9 ׃42 יוֹמָ֤ם ׀ יְצַוֶּ֬ה יְהוָ֨ה ׀ חַסְדּ֗וֹ וּ֖[d]בַלַּיְלָה *שירה **שִׁיר֣וֹ עִמִּ֑י תְּ֝פִלָּ֗ה לְאֵ֣ל חַיָּֽי׃ Psalms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psa 42:8 The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Psalm 42:9---- (Hebrew) 10 ׃42 אוֹמְרָ֤ה ׀ לְאֵ֥ל סַלְעִי֮ לָמָ֢ה שְׁכַ֫חְתָּ֥נִי לָֽמָּה־קֹדֵ֥ר אֵלֵ֗ךְ בְּלַ֣חַץ אוֹיֵֽב׃ Psalms -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psa 42:9 I will say to God my rock, "Why have You forgotten me?
