(Hebrew) 1 ׃15 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Ezekiel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:1 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:2---- (Hebrew) 2 ׃15 בֶּן־אָדָ֕ם מַה־יִּֽהְיֶ֥ה עֵץ־הַגֶּ֖פֶן מִכָּל־עֵ֑ץ הַזְּמוֹרָ֕ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיָ֖ה בַּעֲצֵ֥י הַיָּֽעַר׃ Ezekiel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:2 "Son of man, how is the wood of the vine better than any wood of a branch which is among the trees of the forest?(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:3---- (Hebrew) 3 ׃15 הֲיֻקַּ֤ח מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ עֵ֔ץ לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת לִמְלָאכָ֑ה אִם־יִקְח֤וּ מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ יָתֵ֔ד לִתְל֥וֹת עָלָ֖יו כָּל־כֶּֽלִי׃ Ezekiel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:3 Can wood be taken from it to make anything, or can men take a peg from it on which to hang any vessel?(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:4---- (Hebrew) 4 ׃15 הִנֵּ֥ה לָאֵ֖שׁ נִתַּ֣ן לְאָכְלָ֑ה אֵת֩ שְׁנֵ֨י קְצוֹתָ֜יו אָכְלָ֤ה הָאֵשׁ֙ וְתוֹכ֣וֹ נָחָ֔ר הֲיִצְלַ֖ח לִמְלָאכָֽה׃ Ezekiel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:4 If it has been put into the fire for fuel, and the fire has consumed both of its ends and its middle part has been charred, is it then useful for anything?(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:5---- (Hebrew) 5 ׃15 הִנֵּה֙ בִּֽהְיוֹת֣וֹ תָמִ֔ים לֹ֥א יֵֽעָשֶׂ֖ה לִמְלָאכָ֑ה אַ֣ף כִּי־אֵ֤שׁ אֲכָלַ֙תְהוּ֙ וַיֵּחָ֔ר וְנַעֲשָׂ֥ה ע֖וֹד לִמְלָאכָֽה׃ ס Ezekiel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:5 Behold, while it is intact, it is not made into anything. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it still be made into anything!(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:6---- (Hebrew) 6 ׃15 לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר עֵץ־הַגֶּ֙פֶן֙ בְּעֵ֣ץ הַיַּ֔עַר אֲשֶׁר־נְתַתִּ֥יו לָאֵ֖שׁ לְאָכְלָ֑ה כֵּ֣ן נָתַ֔תִּי אֶת־יֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ Ezekiel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:6 Therefore, thus says the Lord God, 'As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem;(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:7---- (Hebrew) 7 ׃15 וְנָתַתִּ֤י אֶת־פָּנַי֙ בָּהֶ֔ם מֵהָאֵ֣שׁ יָצָ֔אוּ וְהָאֵ֖שׁ תֹּֽאכְלֵ֑ם וִֽידַעְתֶּם֙ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה בְּשׂוּמִ֥י אֶת־פָּנַ֖י בָּהֶֽם׃ Ezekiel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:7 and I set My face against them. Though they have come out of the fire, yet the fire will consume them. Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I set My face against them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:8---- (Hebrew) 8 ׃15 וְנָתַתִּ֥י אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ שְׁמָמָ֑ה יַ֚עַן מָ֣עֲלוּ מַ֔עַל נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ פ Ezekiel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:8 Thus I will make the land desolate, because they have acted unfaithfully, '" declares the Lord God.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 16:1 ---- written 592-570 B.C.
