(Hebrew) 2 ׃12 אֶפְרַ֜יִם רֹעֶ֥ה ר֙וּחַ֙ וְרֹדֵ֣ף קָדִ֔ים כָּל־הַיּ֕וֹם כָּזָ֥ב וָשֹׁ֖ד יַרְבֶּ֑ה וּבְרִית֙ עִם־אַשּׁ֣וּר יִכְרֹ֔תוּ וְשֶׁ֖מֶן לְמִצְרַ֥יִם יוּבָֽל׃ Hosea -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hos 12:1 Ephraim feeds on wind, And pursues the east wind continually; He multiplies lies and violence. Moreover, he makes a covenant with Assyria, And oil is carried to Egypt.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hosea 12:2---- (Hebrew) 3 ׃12 וְרִ֥יב לַֽיהוָ֖ה עִם־יְהוּדָ֑ה וְלִפְקֹ֤ד עַֽל־יַעֲקֹב֙ כִּדְרָכָ֔יו כְּמַעֲלָלָ֖יו יָשִׁ֥יב לֽוֹ׃ Hosea -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hos 12:2 The Lord also has a dispute with Judah, And will punish Jacob according to his ways; He will repay him according to his deeds.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hosea 12:3---- (Hebrew) 4 ׃12 בַּבֶּ֖טֶן עָקַ֣ב אֶת־אָחִ֑יו וּבְאוֹנ֖וֹ שָׂרָ֥ה אֶת־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Hosea -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hos 12:3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel, And in his maturity he contended with God.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hosea 12:4---- (Hebrew) 5 ׃12 וַיָּ֤שַׂר אֶל־מַלְאָךְ֙ וַיֻּכָ֔ל בָּכָ֖ה וַיִּתְחַנֶּן־ל֑וֹ בֵּֽית־אֵל֙ יִמְצָאֶ֔נּוּ וְשָׁ֖ם יְדַבֵּ֥ר עִמָּֽנוּ׃ Hosea -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hos 12:4 Yes, he wrestled with the angel and prevailed; He wept and sought His favor. Surely they are worthless.
