Bible reading for the day: 134_05-May-14_Psa32_Psa51_Psa86_Psa122Psa 32:2 How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit! Psa 32:3 When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long. Psa 32:4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. Selah. Psa 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord"; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah. Psa 32:6 Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him. Psa 32:7 You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. Psa 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. Psa 32:9 Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you. Psa 32:10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked, But he who trusts in the Lord, lovingkindness shall surround him. Psa 32:11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart. -------- Psa 51:1 Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions. Psa 51:2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity And cleanse me from my sin. Psa 51:3 For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me. Psa 51:4 Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge. Psa 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. Psa 51:6 Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom. Psa 51:7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Psa 51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, Let the bones which You have broken rejoice. Psa 51:9 Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities. Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psa 51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Psa 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit. Psa 51:13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners will be converted to You. Psa 51:14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation; Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness. Psa 51:15 O Lord, open my lips, That my mouth may declare Your praise. Psa 51:16 For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; You are not pleased with burnt offering. Psa 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. Psa 51:18 By Your favor do good to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem. Psa 51:19 Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, In burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then young bulls will be offered on Your altar. -------- Psa 86:1 Incline Your ear, O Lord, and answer me; For I am afflicted and needy. Psa 86:2 Preserve my soul, for I am a godly man; O You my God, save Your servant who trusts in You. Psa 86:3 Be gracious to me, O Lord, For to You I cry all day long. Psa 86:4 Make glad the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. Psa 86:5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. Psa 86:6 Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; And give heed to the voice of my supplications! Psa 86:7 In the day of my trouble I shall call upon You, For You will answer me. Psa 86:8 There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord, Nor are there any works like Yours. Psa 86:9 All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And they shall glorify Your name. Psa 86:10 For You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God. Psa 86:11 Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. Psa 86:12 I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And will glorify Your name forever. Psa 86:13 For Your lovingkindness toward me is great, And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. Psa 86:14 O God, arrogant men have risen up against me, And a band of violent men have sought my life, And they have not set You before them. Psa 86:15 But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth. Psa 86:16 Turn to me, and be gracious to me; Oh grant Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your handmaid. Psa 86:17 Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, Because You, O Lord, have helped me and comforted me. -------- Psa 122:1 I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the Lord." Psa 122:2 Our feet are standing Within your gates, O Jerusalem, Psa 122:3 Jerusalem, that is built As a city that is compact together; Psa 122:4 To which the tribes go up, even the tribes of the Lord-- An ordinance for Israel-- To give thanks to the name of the Lord. Psa 122:5 For there thrones were set for judgment, The thrones of the house of David. Psa 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you. Psa 122:7 "May peace be within your walls, And prosperity within your palaces." Psa 122:8 For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, "May peace be within you." Psa 122:9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.
