Today's Date: ======= Exodus 5:1 ============ Exo 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron came and said to Pharaoh, "Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, 'Let My people go that they may celebrate a feast to Me in the wilderness.'" (nasb) Exo 5:1 Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, "Thus says the Lord God of Israel: 'Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.' " (nkjv) Exo 5:1 Darnach ging Mose und Aaron hinein und sprachen zu Pharao: So sagt der HERR, der Gott Israels: Laß mein Volk ziehen, daß mir's ein Fest halte in der Wüste.(dhs) Exo 5:1 καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσῆλθεν Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων πρὸς Φαραω καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαόν μου ἵνα μοι ἑορτάσωσιν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:2 ============ Exo 5:2 But Pharaoh said, "Who is the Lord that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, and besides, I will not let Israel go." (nasb) Exo 5:2 And Pharaoh said, "Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go." (nkjv) Exo 5:2 Pharao antwortete: Wer ist der HERR, des Stimme ich hören müsse und Israel ziehen lassen? Ich weiß nichts von dem HERRN, will auch Israel nicht lassen ziehen.(dhs) Exo 5:2 καὶ εἶπεν Φαραω τίς ἐστιν οὗ εἰσακούσομαι τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ὥστε ἐξαποστεῖλαι τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ οὐκ οἶδα τὸν κύριον καὶ τὸν Ισραηλ οὐκ ἐξαποστέλλω (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:3 ============ Exo 5:3 Then they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go a three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God, otherwise He will fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword." (nasb) Exo 5:3 So they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go three days' journey into the desert and sacrifice to the Lord our God, lest He fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword." (nkjv) Exo 5:3 Sie sprachen: Der Hebräer Gott hat uns gerufen; so laß uns nun hinziehen drei Tagereisen in die Wüste und dem HERRN, unserm Gott, opfern, daß uns nicht widerfahre Pestilenz oder Schwert.(dhs) Exo 5:3 καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ ὁ θεὸς τῶν Εβραίων προσκέκληται ἡμᾶς πορευσόμεθα οὖν ὁδὸν τριῶν ἡμερῶν εἰς τὴν ἔρημον ὅπως θύσωμεν τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν μήποτε συναντήσῃ ἡμῖν θάνατος ἢ φόνος (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:4 ============ Exo 5:4 But the king of Egypt said to them, "Moses and Aaron, why do you draw the people away from their work? Get back to your labors!" (nasb) Exo 5:4 Then the king of Egypt said to them, "Moses and Aaron, why do you take the people from their work? Get back to your labor." (nkjv) Exo 5:4 Da sprach der König in Ägypten zu ihnen: Du Mose und Aaron, warum wollt ihr das Volk von seiner Arbeit frei machen? Gehet hin an eure Dienste!(dhs) Exo 5:4 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου ἵνα τί Μωυσῆ καὶ Ααρων διαστρέφετε τὸν λαόν μου ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων ἀπέλθατε ἕκαστος ὑμῶν πρὸς τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:5 ============ Exo 5:5 Again Pharaoh said, "Look, the people of the land are now many, and you would have them cease from their labors!" (nasb) Exo 5:5 And Pharaoh said, "Look, the people of the land are many now, and you make them rest from their labor!" (nkjv) Exo 5:5 Weiter sprach Pharao: Siehe, des Volks ist schon zuviel im Lande, und ihr wollt sie noch feiern heißen von ihrem Dienst!(dhs) Exo 5:5 καὶ εἶπεν Φαραω ἰδοὺ νῦν πολυπληθεῖ ὁ λαός μὴ οὖν καταπαύσωμεν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:6 ============ Exo 5:6 So the same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters over the people and their foremen, saying, (nasb) Exo 5:6 So the same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters of the people and their officers, saying, (nkjv) Exo 5:6 Darum befahl Pharao desselben Tages den Vögten des Volks und ihren Amtleuten und sprach:(dhs) Exo 5:6 συνέταξεν δὲ Φαραω τοῖς ἐργοδιώκταις τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ τοῖς γραμματεῦσιν λέγων (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:7 ============ Exo 5:7 "You are no longer to give the people straw to make brick as previously; let them go and gather straw for themselves. (nasb) Exo 5:7 "You shall no longer give the people straw to make brick as before. Let them go and gather straw for themselves. (nkjv) Exo 5:7 Ihr sollt dem Volk nicht mehr Stroh sammeln und geben, daß sie Ziegel machen wie bisher; laßt sie selbst hingehen, und Stroh zusammenlesen,(dhs) Exo 5:7 οὐκέτι προστεθήσεται διδόναι ἄχυρον τῷ λαῷ εἰς τὴν πλινθουργίαν καθάπερ ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτην ἡμέραν αὐτοὶ πορευέσθωσαν καὶ συναγαγέτωσαν ἑαυτοῖς ἄχυρα (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:8 ============ Exo 5:8 But the quota of bricks which they were making previously, you shall impose on them; you are not to reduce any of it. Because they are lazy, therefore they cry out, 'Let us go and sacrifice to our God.' (nasb) Exo 5:8 And you shall lay on them the quota of bricks which they made before. You shall not reduce it. For they are idle; therefore they cry out, saying, 'Let us go and sacrifice to our God.' (nkjv) Exo 5:8 und die Zahl der Ziegel, die sie bisher gemacht haben, sollt ihr ihnen gleichwohl auflegen und nichts mindern; denn sie gehen müßig, darum schreien sie und sprechen: Wir wollen hinziehen und unserm Gott opfern.(dhs) Exo 5:8 καὶ τὴν σύνταξιν τῆς πλινθείας ἧς αὐτοὶ ποιοῦσιν καθ᾽ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν ἐπιβαλεῖς αὐτοῖς οὐκ ἀφελεῖς οὐδέν σχολάζουσιν γάρ διὰ τοῦτο κεκράγασιν λέγοντες πορευθῶμεν καὶ θύσωμεν τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:9 ============ Exo 5:9 Let the labor be heavier on the men, and let them work at it so that they will pay no attention to false words." (nasb) Exo 5:9 Let more work be laid on the men, that they may labor in it, and let them not regard false words." (nkjv) Exo 5:9 Man drücke die Leute mit Arbeit, daß sie zu schaffen haben und sich nicht kehren an falsche Rede.(dhs) Exo 5:9 βαρυνέσθω τὰ ἔργα τῶν ἀνθρώπων τούτων καὶ μεριμνάτωσαν ταῦτα καὶ μὴ μεριμνάτωσαν ἐν λόγοις κενοῖς (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:10 ============ Exo 5:10 So the taskmasters of the people and their foremen went out and spoke to the people, saying, "Thus says Pharaoh, 'I am not going to give you any straw. (nasb) Exo 5:10 And the taskmasters of the people and their officers went out and spoke to the people, saying, "Thus says Pharaoh: 'I will not give you straw. (nkjv) Exo 5:10 Da gingen die Vögte des Volkes und ihre Amtleute aus und sprachen zum Volk: So spricht Pharao: Man wird euch kein Stroh geben;(dhs) Exo 5:10 κατέσπευδον δὲ αὐτοὺς οἱ ἐργοδιῶκται καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς καὶ ἔλεγον πρὸς τὸν λαὸν λέγοντες τάδε λέγει Φαραω οὐκέτι δίδωμι ὑμῖν ἄχυρα (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:11 ============ Exo 5:11 You go and get straw for yourselves wherever you can find it, but none of your labor will be reduced.'" (nasb) Exo 5:11 Go, get yourselves straw where you can find it; yet none of your work will be reduced.' " (nkjv) Exo 5:11 geht ihr selbst hin und sammelt euch Stroh, wo ihr's findet; aber von eurer Arbeit soll nichts gemindert werden.(dhs) Exo 5:11 αὐτοὶ ὑμεῖς πορευόμενοι συλλέγετε ἑαυτοῖς ἄχυρα ὅθεν ἐὰν εὕρητε οὐ γὰρ ἀφαιρεῖται ἀπὸ τῆς συντάξεως ὑμῶν οὐθέν (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:12 ============ Exo 5:12 So the people scattered through all the land of Egypt to gather stubble for straw. (nasb) Exo 5:12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw. (nkjv) Exo 5:12 Da zerstreute sich das Volk ins ganze Land Ägypten, daß es Stoppeln sammelte, damit sie Stroh hätten.(dhs) Exo 5:12 καὶ διεσπάρη ὁ λαὸς ἐν ὅλῃ Αἰγύπτῳ συναγαγεῖν καλάμην εἰς ἄχυρα (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:13 ============ Exo 5:13 The taskmasters pressed them, saying, "Complete your work quota, your daily amount, just as when you had straw." (nasb) Exo 5:13 And the taskmasters forced them to hurry, saying, "Fulfill your work, your daily quota, as when there was straw." (nkjv) Exo 5:13 Und die Vögte trieben sie und sprachen: Erfüllet euer Tagewerk, gleich als da ihr Stroh hattet.(dhs) Exo 5:13 οἱ δὲ ἐργοδιῶκται κατέσπευδον αὐτοὺς λέγοντες συντελεῖτε τὰ ἔργα τὰ καθήκοντα καθ᾽ ἡμέραν καθάπερ καὶ ὅτε τὸ ἄχυρον ἐδίδοτο ὑμῖν (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:14 ============ Exo 5:14 Moreover, the foremen of the sons of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, "Why have you not completed your required amount either yesterday or today in making brick as previously?" (nasb) Exo 5:14 Also the officers of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, "Why have you not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and today, as before?" (nkjv) Exo 5:14 Und die Amtleute der Kinder Israel, welche die Vögte Pharaos über sie gesetzt hatten, wurden geschlagen, und ward zu ihnen gesagt: Warum habt ihr weder heute noch gestern euer gesetztes Tagewerk getan wie bisher?(dhs) Exo 5:14 καὶ ἐμαστιγώθησαν οἱ γραμματεῖς τοῦ γένους τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ οἱ κατασταθέντες ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ὑπὸ τῶν ἐπιστατῶν τοῦ Φαραω λέγοντες διὰ τί οὐ συνετελέσατε τὰς συντάξεις ὑμῶν τῆς πλινθείας καθάπερ ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτην ἡμέραν καὶ τὸ τῆς σήμερον (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:15 ============ Exo 5:15 Then the foremen of the sons of Israel came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, "Why do you deal this way with your servants? (nasb) Exo 5:15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, "Why are you dealing thus with your servants? (nkjv) Exo 5:15 Da gingen hinein die Amtleute der Kinder Israel und schrien zu Pharao: Warum willst du mit deinen Knechten also fahren?(dhs) Exo 5:15 εἰσελθόντες δὲ οἱ γραμματεῖς τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ κατεβόησαν πρὸς Φαραω λέγοντες ἵνα τί οὕτως ποιεῖς τοῖς σοῖς οἰκέταις (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:16 ============ Exo 5:16 There is no straw given to your servants, yet they keep saying to us, 'Make bricks!' And behold, your servants are being beaten; but it is the fault of your own people." (nasb) Exo 5:16 There is no straw given to your servants, and they say to us, 'Make brick!' And indeed your servants are beaten, but the fault is in your own people." (nkjv) Exo 5:16 Man gibt den Knechten kein Stroh, und sie sollen die Ziegel machen, die uns bestimmt sind; siehe deine Knechte werden geschlagen, und dein Volk muß schuldig sein.(dhs) Exo 5:16 ἄχυρον οὐ δίδοται τοῖς οἰκέταις σου καὶ τὴν πλίνθον ἡμῖν λέγουσιν ποιεῖν καὶ ἰδοὺ οἱ παῖδές σου μεμαστίγωνται ἀδικήσεις οὖν τὸν λαόν σου (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:17 ============ Exo 5:17 But he said, "You are lazy, very lazy; therefore you say, 'Let us go and sacrifice to the Lord.' (nasb) Exo 5:17 But he said, "You are idle! Idle! Therefore you say, 'Let us go and sacrifice to the Lord.' (nkjv) Exo 5:17 Pharao sprach: Ihr seid müßig, müßig seid ihr; darum sprecht ihr: Wir wollen hinziehen und dem HERRN opfern.(dhs) Exo 5:17 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς σχολάζετε σχολασταί ἐστε διὰ τοῦτο λέγετε πορευθῶμεν θύσωμεν τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:18 ============ Exo 5:18 So go now and work; for you will be given no straw, yet you must deliver the quota of bricks." (nasb) Exo 5:18 Therefore go now and work; for no straw shall be given you, yet you shall deliver the quota of bricks." (nkjv) Exo 5:18 So gehet nun hin und frönt; Stroh soll man euch nicht geben, aber die Anzahl der Ziegel sollt ihr schaffen.(dhs) Exo 5:18 νῦν οὖν πορευθέντες ἐργάζεσθε τὸ γὰρ ἄχυρον οὐ δοθήσεται ὑμῖν καὶ τὴν σύνταξιν τῆς πλινθείας ἀποδώσετε (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:19 ============ Exo 5:19 The foremen of the sons of Israel saw that they were in trouble because they were told, "You must not reduce your daily amount of bricks." (nasb) Exo 5:19 And the officers of the children of Israel saw that they were in trouble after it was said, "You shall not reduce any bricks from your daily quota." (nkjv) Exo 5:19 Da sahen die Amtleute der Kinder Israel, daß es ärger ward, weil man sagte: Ihr sollt nichts mindern von dem Tagewerk an den Ziegeln.(dhs) Exo 5:19 ἑώρων δὲ οἱ γραμματεῖς τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἑαυτοὺς ἐν κακοῖς λέγοντες οὐκ ἀπολείψετε τῆς πλινθείας τὸ καθῆκον τῇ ἡμέρᾳ (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:20 ============ Exo 5:20 When they left Pharaoh's presence, they met Moses and Aaron as they were waiting for them. (nasb) Exo 5:20 Then, as they came out from Pharaoh, they met Moses and Aaron who stood there to meet them. (nkjv) Exo 5:20 Und da sie von Pharao gingen, begegneten sie Mose und Aaron und traten ihnen entgegen(dhs) Exo 5:20 συνήντησαν δὲ Μωυσῇ καὶ Ααρων ἐρχομένοις εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτοῖς ἐκπορευομένων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ Φαραω (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:21 ============ Exo 5:21 They said to them, "May the Lord look upon you and judge you, for you have made us odious in Pharaoh's sight and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us." (nasb) Exo 5:21 And they said to them, "Let the Lord look on you and judge, because you have made us abhorrent in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us." (nkjv) Exo 5:21 und sprachen zu ihnen: Der HERR sehe auf euch und richte es, daß ihr unsern Geruch habt stinkend gemacht vor Pharao und seinen Knechten und habt ihnen das Schwert in die Hände gegeben, uns zu töten.(dhs) Exo 5:21 καὶ εἶπαν αὐτοῖς ἴδοι ὁ θεὸς ὑμᾶς καὶ κρίναι ὅτι ἐβδελύξατε τὴν ὀσμὴν ἡμῶν ἐναντίον Φαραω καὶ ἐναντίον τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ δοῦναι ῥομφαίαν εἰς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἀποκτεῖναι ἡμᾶς (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:22 ============ Exo 5:22 Then Moses returned to the Lord and said, "O Lord, why have You brought harm to this people? Why did You ever send me? (nasb) Exo 5:22 So Moses returned to the Lord and said, "Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? (nkjv) Exo 5:22 Mose aber kam wieder zu dem HERRN und sprach: HERR, warum tust du so übel an diesem Volk? Warum hast du mich hergesandt?(dhs) Exo 5:22 ἐπέστρεψεν δὲ Μωυσῆς πρὸς κύριον καὶ εἶπεν κύριε διὰ τί ἐκάκωσας τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον καὶ ἵνα τί ἀπέσταλκάς με (lxx) ======= Exodus 5:23 ============ Exo 5:23 Ever since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done harm to this people, and You have not delivered Your people at all." (nasb) Exo 5:23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all."
