Today's Date: ======= 2 Peter 3:1 ============ 2Pe 3:1 This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you in which I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, (nas) 2Pe 3:1 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), (nkjv) 2Pe 3:1 Dies ist der zweite Brief, den ich euch schreibe, ihr Lieben, in welchem ich euch erinnere und erwecke euren lautern Sinn,(dhs) 2Pe 3:1 ταύτην ἤδη, ἀγαπητοί, δευτέραν ὑμῖν γράφω ἐπιστολήν, ἐν αἷς διεγείρω ὑμῶν ἐν ὑπομνήσει τὴν εἰλικρινῆ διάνοιαν, (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:1 ταυτην ηδη αγαπητοι δευτεραν υμιν γραφω επιστολην εν αις διεγειρω υμων εν υπομνησει την ειλικρινη διανοιαν (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:2 ============ 2Pe 3:2 that you should remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken by your apostles. (nas) 2Pe 3:2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, (nkjv) 2Pe 3:2 daß ihr gedenket an die Worte, die euch zuvor gesagt sind von den heiligen Propheten, und an unser Gebot, die wir sind Apostel des HERRN und Heilandes.(dhs) 2Pe 3:2 μνησθῆναι τῶν προειρημένων ῥημάτων ὑπὸ τῶν ἁγίων προφητῶν καὶ τῆς τῶν ἀποστόλων ὑμῶν ἐντολῆς τοῦ κυρίου καὶ σωτῆρος· (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:2 μνησθηναι των προειρημενων ρηματων υπο των αγιων προφητων και της των αποστολων ημων εντολης του κυριου και σωτηρος (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:3 ============ 2Pe 3:3 Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, (nas) 2Pe 3:3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, (nkjv) 2Pe 3:3 Und wisset aufs erste, daß in den letzten Tagen kommen werden Spötter, die nach ihren eigenen Lüsten wandeln(dhs) 2Pe 3:3 τοῦτο πρῶτον γινώσκοντες, ὅτι ἐλεύσονται ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτων τῶν ἡμερῶν [ἐν] ἐμπαιγμονῇ ἐμπαῖκται κατὰ τὰς ἰδίας ἐπιθυμίας αὐτῶν πορευόμενοι (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:3 τουτο πρωτον γινωσκοντες οτι ελευσονται επ εσχατου των ημερων εμπαικται κατα τας ιδιας αυτων επιθυμιας πορευομενοι (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:4 ============ 2Pe 3:4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." (nas) 2Pe 3:4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." (nkjv) 2Pe 3:4 und sagen: Wo ist die Verheißung seiner Zukunft? denn nachdem die Väter entschlafen sind, bleibt es alles, wie es von Anfang der Kreatur gewesen ist.(dhs) 2Pe 3:4 καὶ λέγοντες, ποῦ ἐστιν ἡ ἐπαγγελία τῆς παρουσίας αὐτοῦ; ἀφ᾽ ἧς γὰρ οἱ πατέρες ἐκοιμήθησαν, πάντα οὕτως διαμένει ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς κτίσεως. (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:4 και λεγοντες που εστιν η επαγγελια της παρουσιας αυτου αφ ης γαρ οι πατερες εκοιμηθησαν παντα ουτως διαμενει απ αρχης κτισεως (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:5 ============ 2Pe 3:5 For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, (nas) 2Pe 3:5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, (nkjv) 2Pe 3:5 Aber aus Mutwillen wollen sie nicht wissen, daß der Himmel vorzeiten auch war, dazu die Erde aus Wasser, und im Wasser bestanden durch Gottes Wort;(dhs) 2Pe 3:5 λανθάνει γὰρ αὐτοὺς τοῦτο θέλοντας, ὅτι οὐρανοὶ ἦσαν ἔκπαλαι καὶ γῆ ἐξ ὕδατος καὶ δι᾽ ὕδατος συνεστῶσα τῶ τοῦ θεοῦ λόγῳ, (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:5 λανθανει γαρ αυτους τουτο θελοντας οτι ουρανοι ησαν εκπαλαι και γη εξ υδατος και δι υδατος συνεστωσα τω του θεου λογω (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:6 ============ 2Pe 3:6 through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. (nas) 2Pe 3:6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. (nkjv) 2Pe 3:6 dennoch ward zu der Zeit die Welt durch die dieselben mit der Sintflut verderbt.(dhs) 2Pe 3:6 δι᾽ ὧν ὁ τότε κόσμος ὕδατι κατακλυσθεὶς ἀπώλετο· (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:6 δι ων ο τοτε κοσμος υδατι κατακλυσθεις απωλετο (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:7 ============ 2Pe 3:7 But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. (nas) 2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (nkjv) 2Pe 3:7 Also auch der Himmel, der jetztund ist, und die Erde werden durch sein Wort gespart, daß sie zum Feuer behalten werden auf den Tag des Gerichts und der Verdammnis der gottlosen Menschen.(dhs) 2Pe 3:7 οἱ δὲ νῦν οὐρανοὶ καὶ ἡ γῆ τῶ αὐτῶ λόγῳ τεθησαυρισμένοι εἰσὶν πυρί, τηρούμενοι εἰς ἡμέραν κρίσεως καὶ ἀπωλείας τῶν ἀσεβῶν ἀνθρώπων. (nkjv) 2Pe 3:8 Eins aber sei euch unverhalten, ihr Lieben, daß ein Tag vor dem HERRN ist wie tausend Jahre, und tausend Jahre wie ein Tag.(dhs) 2Pe 3:8 ἓν δὲ τοῦτο μὴ λανθανέτω ὑμᾶς, ἀγαπητοί, ὅτι μία ἡμέρα παρὰ κυρίῳ ὡς χίλια ἔτη καὶ χίλια ἔτη ὡς ἡμέρα μία. (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:8 εν δε τουτο μη λανθανετω υμας αγαπητοι οτι μια ημερα παρα κυριω ως χιλια ετη και χιλια ετη ως ημερα μια (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:9 ============ 2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (nas) 2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (nkjv) 2Pe 3:9 Der HERR verzieht nicht die Verheißung, wie es etliche für einen Verzug achten; sondern er hat Geduld mit uns und will nicht, daß jemand verloren werde, sondern daß sich jedermann zur Buße kehre.(dhs) 2Pe 3:9 οὐ βραδύνει κύριος τῆς ἐπαγγελίας, ὥς τινες βραδύτητα ἡγοῦνται, ἀλλὰ μακροθυμεῖ εἰς ὑμᾶς, μὴ βουλόμενός τινας ἀπολέσθαι ἀλλὰ πάντας εἰς μετάνοιαν χωρῆσαι. (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:9 ου βραδυνει ο κυριος της επαγγελιας ως τινες βραδυτητα ηγουνται αλλα μακροθυμει εις ημας μη βουλομενος τινας απολεσθαι αλλα παντας εις μετανοιαν χωρησαι (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:10 ============ 2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. (nas) 2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. (nkjv) 2Pe 3:10 Es wird aber des HERRN Tag kommen wie ein Dieb in der Nacht, an welchem die Himmel zergehen werden mit großem Krachen; die Elemente aber werden vor Hitze schmelzen, und die Erde und die Werke, die darauf sind, werden verbrennen.(dhs) 2Pe 3:10 ἥξει δὲ ἡμέρα κυρίου ὡς κλέπτης, ἐν ᾗ οἱ οὐρανοὶ ῥοιζηδὸν παρελεύσονται, στοιχεῖα δὲ καυσούμενα λυθήσεται, καὶ γῆ καὶ τὰ ἐν αὐτῇ ἔργα εὑρεθήσεται. (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:10 ηξει δε η ημερα κυριου ως κλεπτης εν νυκτι εν η οι ουρανοι ροιζηδον παρελευσονται στοιχεια δε καυσουμενα λυθησονται και γη και τα εν αυτη εργα κατακαησεται (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:11 ============ 2Pe 3:11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, (nas) 2Pe 3:11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, (nkjv) 2Pe 3:11 So nun das alles soll zergehen, wie sollt ihr denn geschickt sein mit heiligem Wandel und gottseligem Wesen,(dhs) 2Pe 3:11 τούτων οὕτως πάντων λυομένων ποταποὺς δεῖ ὑπάρχειν [ὑμᾶς] ἐν ἁγίαις ἀναστροφαῖς καὶ εὐσεβείαις, (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:11 τουτων ουν παντων λυομενων ποταπους δει υπαρχειν υμας εν αγιαις αναστροφαις και ευσεβειαις (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:12 ============ 2Pe 3:12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! (nas) 2Pe 3:12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? (nkjv) 2Pe 3:12 daß ihr wartet und eilet zu der Zukunft des Tages des HERRN, an welchem die Himmel vom Feuer zergehen und die Elemente vor Hitze zerschmelzen werden!(dhs) 2Pe 3:12 προσδοκῶντας καὶ σπεύδοντας τὴν παρουσίαν τῆς τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμέρας, δι᾽ ἣν οὐρανοὶ πυρούμενοι λυθήσονται καὶ στοιχεῖα καυσούμενα τήκεται. (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:12 προσδοκωντας και σπευδοντας την παρουσιαν της του θεου ημερας δι ην ουρανοι πυρουμενοι λυθησονται και στοιχεια καυσουμενα τηκεται (Textus Receptus) ======= 2 Peter 3:13 ============ 2Pe 3:13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. (nas) 2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
