Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.(KJV) 1 Samuel 22:5 And the Prophet Gad sayde vnto Dauid, Abide not in the holde, but depart and goe into the land of Iudah. Now Saul was sitting in Gibeah, under the tamarisk tree on the height with his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing around him.(nasb) ======= 1 Samuel 22:7 ============ 1Sa 22:7 Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;(KJV) 1 Samuel 22:7 And Saul said vnto his seruants that stood about him, Heare now, ye sonnes of Iemini, wil the sonne of Ishai giue euery one of you fields & vineyardes: will he make you all captaines ouer thousands, and captaines ouer hundreths:(Geneva) 1 Samuel 22:7 Et Saül dit à ses serviteurs qui se tenaient près de lui: Ecoutez, Benjamites! Will the son of Jesse also give to all of you fields and vineyards? Will he make you all commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds?(nasb) ======= 1 Samuel 22:8 ============ 1Sa 22:8 That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?(KJV) 1 Samuel 22:8 That all ye haue conspired against me, and there is none that tellerh mee that my sonne hath made a couenant with the sonne of Ishai? and there is none of you that is sory for me, or sheweth mee, that my sonne hath stirred vp my seruant to lie in wayte against me, as appeareth this day?(Geneva) 1 Samuel 22:8 Sinon, pourquoi avez-vous tous conspiré contre moi, et n'y a-t-il personne qui m'informe de l'alliance de mon fils avec le fils d'Isaï? Pourquoi lui as-tu donné du pain et une épée, et as-tu consulté Dieu pour lui, afin qu'il s'élevât contre moi et me dressât des embûches, comme il le fait aujourd'hui?(FR) 12 ׃22 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שָׁא֔וּל שְֽׁמַֽע־נָ֖א בֶּן־אֲחִיט֑וּב וַיֹּ֖אמֶר הִנְנִ֥י אֲדֹנִֽי׃ Samuel1 1Sa 22:13 Saul then said to him, "Why have you and the son of Jesse conspired against me, in that you have given him bread and a sword and have inquired of God for him, so that he would rise up against me by lying in ambush as it is this day?"(nasb) ======= 1 Samuel 22:14 ============ 1Sa 22:14 Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?(KJV) 1 Samuel 22:14 And Ahimelech answered the King, and sayde, Who is so faithfull among all thy seruants as Dauid, being also the Kings sonne in lawe, and goeth at thy commandement, and is honourable in thine house?(Geneva) 1 Samuel 22:14 Achimélec répondit au roi: Lequel d'entre tous tes serviteurs peut être comparé au fidèle David, gendre du roi, dévoué à ses ordres, et honoré dans ta maison?(FR) 13 ׃22 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר *אלו **אֵלָיו֙ שָׁא֔וּל לָ֚מָּה קְשַׁרְתֶּ֣ם עָלַ֔י אַתָּ֖ה וּבֶן־יִשָׁ֑י בְּתִתְּךָ֨ ל֜וֹ לֶ֣חֶם וְחֶ֗רֶב וְשָׁא֥וֹל לוֹ֙ בֵּֽאלֹהִ֔ים לָק֥וּם אֵלַ֛י לְאֹרֵ֖ב כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ ס Samuel1 1Sa 22:14 Then Ahimelech answered the king and said, "And who among all your servants is as faithful as David, even the king's son-in-law, who is captain over your guard, and is honored in your house?(nasb) ======= 1 Samuel 22:15 ============ 1Sa 22:15 Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.(KJV) 1 Samuel 22:15 Haue I this day first begun to aske counsell of God for him? be it farre from mee, let not the King impute any thing vnto his seruant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy seruant knew nothing of all this, lesse nor more.(Geneva) 1 Samuel 22:15 Est-ce aujourd'hui que j'ai commencé à consulter Dieu pour lui? Loin de moi! Que le roi ne mette rien à la charge de son serviteur ni de personne de la maison de mon père, car ton serviteur ne connaît de tout ceci aucune chose, petite ou grande.(FR) 14 ׃22 וַיַּ֧עַן אֲחִימֶ֛לֶךְ אֶת־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וַיֹּאמַ֑ר וּמִ֤י בְכָל־עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ כְּדָוִ֣ד נֶאֱמָ֔ן וַחֲתַ֥ן הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ וְסָ֥ר אֶל־מִשְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ךָ וְנִכְבָּ֥ד בְּבֵיתֶֽךָ׃ Samuel1 1Sa 22:15 Did I just begin to inquire of God for him today? Far be it from me! Do not let the king impute anything to his servant or to any of the household of my father, for your servant knows nothing at all of this whole affair."(nasb) ======= 1 Samuel 22:16 ============ 1Sa 22:16 And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father's house.(KJV) 1 Samuel 22:16 Then the King sayd, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy fathers house.(Geneva) 1 Samuel 22:16 Le roi dit: Tu mourras, Achimélec, toi et toute la maison de ton père.(FR) 15 ׃22 הַיּ֧וֹם הַחִלֹּ֛תִי *לשאול־**לִשְׁאָל־ל֥וֹ בֵאלֹהִ֖ים חָלִ֣ילָה לִּ֑י אַל־יָשֵׂם֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ בְּעַבְדּ֤וֹ דָבָר֙ בְּכָל־בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֔י כִּ֠י לֹֽא־יָדַ֤ע עַבְדְּךָ֙ בְּכָל־זֹ֔את דָּבָ֥ר קָטֹ֖ן א֥וֹ גָדֽוֹל׃ Samuel1 1Sa 22:16 But the king said, "You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father's household!"(nasb) ======= 1 Samuel 22:17 ============ 1Sa 22:17 And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD: because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.(KJV) 1 Samuel 22:17 And the King sayde vnto the sergeantes that stoode about him, Turne, & slay the Priestes of the Lorde, because their hand also is with Dauid, and because they knewe when he fled, and shewed it not vnto mee. But the seruantes of the King would not moue their hands to fall vpon the Priests of the Lord.(Geneva) 1 Samuel 22:17 Et le roi dit aux coureurs qui se tenaient près de lui: Tournez-vous, et mettez à mort les sacrificateurs de l'Eternel; car ils sont d'accord avec David, ils ont bien su qu'il s'enfuyait, et ils ne m'ont point averti. Mais les serviteurs du roi ne voulurent pas avancer la main pour frapper les sacrificateurs de l'Eternel.(FR) 16 ׃22 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ מ֥וֹת תָּמ֖וּת אֲחִימֶ֑לֶךְ אַתָּ֖ה וְכָל־בֵּ֥ית אָבִֽיךָ׃ Samuel1 1Sa 22:17 And the king said to the guards who were attending him, "Turn around and put the priests of the Lord to death, because their hand also is with David and because they knew that he was fleeing and did not reveal it to me." But the servants of the king were not willing to put forth their hands to attack the priests of the Lord.(nasb) ======= 1 Samuel 22:18 ============ 1Sa 22:18 And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.(KJV) 1 Samuel 22:18 Then the King sayde to Doeg, Turne thou and fall vpon the Priests; Doeg the Edomite turned, and ran vpon the Priestes, and slewe that same daye foure score and fiue persons that did weare a linen Ephod.(Geneva) 1 Samuel 22:18 Alors le roi dit à Doëg: Tourne-toi, et frappe les sacrificateurs. Et Doëg, l'Edomite, se tourna, et ce fut lui qui frappa les sacrificateurs; il fit mourir en ce jour quatre-vingt-cinq hommes portant l'éphod de lin.(FR) 17 ׃22 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ לָרָצִים֩ הַנִּצָּבִ֨ים עָלָ֜יו סֹ֥בּוּ וְהָמִ֣יתוּ ׀ כֹּהֲנֵ֣י יְהוָ֗ה כִּ֤י גַם־יָדָם֙ עִם־דָּוִ֔ד וְכִ֤י יָֽדְעוּ֙ כִּֽי־בֹרֵ֣חַ ה֔וּא וְלֹ֥א גָל֖וּ אֶת־*אזנו **אָזְנִ֑י וְלֹֽא־אָב֞וּ עַבְדֵ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ לִשְׁלֹ֣חַ אֶת־יָדָ֔ם לִפְגֹ֖עַ בְּכֹהֲנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ ס Samuel1 1Sa 22:18 Then the king said to Doeg, "You turn around and attack the priests."
