Wherefore doeth my lord require this thing? Why should he be a cause of trespasse to Israel?(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 21:3 Joab répondit: Que l'Eternel rende son peuple cent fois plus nombreux! O roi mon seigneur, ne sont-ils pas tous serviteurs de mon seigneur? Mais pourquoi mon seigneur demande-t-il cela? But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? Why does my lord seek this thing? Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 21:12 Either three yeeres famine, or three moneths to be destroyed before thine aduersaries, and the sworde of thine enemies to take thee, or els the sworde of the Lorde and pestilence in the lande three dayes, that the Angel of the Lorde may destroy throughout all the coastes of Israel: nowe therefore aduise thee, what word I shal bring againe to him that sent me.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 21:12 ou trois années de famine, ou trois mois pendant lesquels tu seras détruit par tes adversaires et atteint par l'épée de tes ennemis, ou trois jours pendant lesquels l'épée de l'Eternel et la peste seront dans le pays et l'ange de l'Eternel portera la destruction dans tout le territoire d'Israël. Vois maintenant ce que je dois répondre à celui qui m'envoie.(FR) 12 ׃21 אִם־שָׁל֨וֹשׁ שָׁנִ֜ים רָעָ֗ב וְאִם־שְׁלֹשָׁ֨ה חֳדָשִׁ֜ים נִסְפֶּ֥ה מִפְּנֵי־צָרֶיךָ֮ וְחֶ֣רֶב אוֹיְבֶ֣ךָ ׀ לְמַשֶּׂגֶת֒ וְאִם־שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָ֠מִים חֶ֣רֶב יְהוָ֤ה וְדֶ֙בֶר֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ וּמַלְאַ֣ךְ יְהוָ֔ה מַשְׁחִ֖ית בְּכָל־גְּב֣וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְעַתָּ֣ה רְאֵ֔ה מָֽה־אָשִׁ֥יב אֶת־שֹׁלְחִ֖י דָּבָֽר׃ פ Chronicles1 1Ch 21:12 either three years of famine, or three months to be swept away before your foes, while the sword of your enemies overtakes you, or else three days of the sword of the Lord, even pestilence in the land, and the angel of the Lord destroying throughout all the territory of Israel.' Now, therefore, consider what answer I shall return to Him who sent me."(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:13 ============ 1Ch 21:13 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 21:13 And Dauid said vnto Gad, I am in a wonderfull strait. Let me nowe fall into the hande of the Lorde: for his mercies are exceeding great, and let me not fall into the hande of man.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 21:13 David répondit à Gad: Je suis dans une grande angoisse! L'ange de l'Eternel se tenait près de l'aire d'Ornan, le Jébusien.(FR) 15 ׃21 וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ הָאֱלֹהִ֨ים ׀ מַלְאָ֥ךְ ׀ לִֽירוּשָׁלִַם֮ לְהַשְׁחִיתָהּ֒ וּכְהַשְׁחִ֗ית רָאָ֤ה יְהוָה֙ וַיִּנָּ֣חֶם עַל־הֽ͏ָרָעָ֔ה וַיֹּ֨אמֶר לַמַּלְאָ֤ךְ הַמַּשְׁחִית֙ רַ֔ב עַתָּ֖ה הֶ֣רֶף יָדֶ֑ךָ וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ יְהוָה֙ עֹמֵ֔ד עִם־גֹּ֖רֶן אָרְנָ֥ן הַיְבוּסִֽי׃ ס Chronicles1 1Ch 21:15 And God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it; but as he was about to destroy it, the Lord saw and was sorry over the calamity, and said to the destroying angel, "It is enough; now relax your hand." And the angel of the Lord was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:16 ============ 1Ch 21:16 And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 21:16 And Dauid lift vp his eyes, and sawe the Angel of the Lorde stande betweene the earth and the heauen with his sworde drawen in his hand, and stretched out towarde Ierusalem. Alors David et les anciens, couverts de sacs, tombèrent sur leur visage.(FR) 16 ׃21 וַיִּשָּׂ֨א דָוִ֜יד אֶת־עֵינָ֗יו וַיַּ֞רְא אֶת־מַלְאַ֤ךְ יְהוָה֙ עֹמֵ֗ד בֵּ֤ין הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ וּבֵ֣ין הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְחַרְבּ֤וֹ שְׁלוּפָה֙ בְּיָד֔וֹ נְטוּיָ֖ה עַל־יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וַיִּפֹּ֨ל דָּוִ֧יד וְהַזְּקֵנִ֛ים מְכֻסִּ֥ים בַּשַּׂקִּ֖ים עַל־פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ Chronicles1 1Ch 21:16 Then David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the Lord standing between earth and heaven, with his drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, covered with sackcloth, fell on their faces.(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:17 ============ 1Ch 21:17 And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 21:17 And Dauid said vnto God, Is it not I that commanded to nomber the people? It is euen I that haue sinned and haue committed euil, but these sheepe what haue they done? O Lorde my God, I beseech thee, let thine hande be on me and on my fathers house, and not on thy people for their destruction.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 21:17 Et David dit à Dieu: N'est-ce pas moi qui ai ordonné le dénombrement du peuple? C'est moi qui ai péché et qui ai fait le mal; mais ces brebis, qu'ont-elles fait? Eternel, mon Dieu, que ta main soit donc sur moi et sur la maison de mon père, et qu'elle ne fasse point une plaie parmi ton peuple!(FR) 17 ׃21 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֣יד אֶֽל־הָאֱלֹהִ֡ים הֲלֹא֩ אֲנִ֨י אָמַ֜רְתִּי לִמְנ֣וֹת בָּעָ֗ם וַאֲנִי־ה֤וּא אֲשֶׁר־חָטָ֙אתִי֙ וְהָרֵ֣עַ הֲרֵע֔וֹתִי וְאֵ֥לֶּה הַצֹּ֖אן מֶ֣ה עָשׂ֑וּ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהַ֗י תְּהִ֨י נָ֤א יָֽדְךָ֙ בִּ֚י וּבְבֵ֣ית אָבִ֔י וּֽבְעַמְּךָ֖ לֹ֥א לְמַגֵּפָֽה׃ ס Chronicles1 1Ch 21:17 David said to God, "Is it not I who commanded to count the people? Indeed, I am the one who has sinned and done very wickedly, but these sheep, what have they done? O Lord my God, please let Your hand be against me and my father's household, but not against Your people that they should be plagued." (nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:18 ============ 1Ch 21:18 Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 21:18 Then the Angel of the Lord commanded Gad to say to Dauid, that Dauid should goe vp, and set vp an altar vnto the Lord in the thresshing floore of Ornan the Iebusite.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 21:18 L'ange de l'Eternel dit à Gad de parler à David, afin qu'il montât pour élever un autel à l'Eternel dans l'aire d'Ornan, le Jébusien.(FR) 18 ׃21 וּמַלְאַ֧ךְ יְהוָ֛ה אָמַ֥ר אֶל־גָּ֖ד לֵאמֹ֣ר לְדָוִ֑יד כִּ֣י ׀ יַעֲלֶ֣ה דָוִ֗יד לְהָקִ֤ים מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ לַיהוָ֔ה בְּגֹ֖רֶן אָרְנָ֥ן הַיְבֻסִֽי׃ Chronicles1 1Ch 21:18 Then the angel of the Lord commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:19 ============ 1Ch 21:19 And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of the LORD.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 21:19 So Dauid went vp according to the saying of Gad, which he had spoken in the Name of the Lorde.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 21:19 David monta, selon la parole que Gad avait prononcée au nom de l'Eternel.(FR) 19 ׃21 וַיַּ֤עַל דָּוִיד֙ בִּדְבַר־גָּ֔ד אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבֶּ֖ר בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְהוָֽה׃ Chronicles1 1Ch 21:19 So David went up at the word of Gad, which he spoke in the name of the Lord.(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:20 ============ 1Ch 21:20 And Ornan turned back, and saw the angel; and his four sons with him hid themselves.
