Today's Date: 3/9/2025 ======= Ezekiel 33:1 ============ Eze 33:1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,(KJV) Ezekiel 33:1 Againe, the woorde of the Lorde came vnto me, saying,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:1 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(FR) 1 ׃33 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:2 ============ Eze 33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:(KJV) Ezekiel 33:2 Sonne of man, speake to the children of thy people, and say vnto them, When I bring the sworde vpon a lande, if the people of the lande take a man from among them, and make him their watchman,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:2 Fils de l'homme, parle aux enfants de ton peuple, et dis-leur: Lorsque je fais venir l'épée sur un pays, et que le peuple du pays prend dans son sein un homme et l'établit comme sentinelle, -(FR) 2 ׃33 בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם דַּבֵּ֤ר אֶל־בְּנֵֽי־עַמְּךָ֙ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אֶ֕רֶץ כִּֽי־אָבִ֥יא עָלֶ֖יהָ חָ֑רֶב וְלָקְח֨וּ עַם־הָאָ֜רֶץ אִ֤ישׁ אֶחָד֙ מִקְצֵיהֶ֔ם וְנָתְנ֥וּ אֹת֛וֹ לָהֶ֖ם לְצֹפֶֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:2 "Son of man, speak to the sons of your people and say to them, 'If I bring a sword upon a land, and the people of the land take one man from among them and make him their watchman, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:3 ============ Eze 33:3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;(KJV) Ezekiel 33:3 If when hee seeth the sworde come vpon ye land, he blow the trumpet, & warne the people,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:3 si cet homme voit venir l'épée sur le pays, sonne de la trompette, et avertit le peuple;(FR) 3 ׃33 וְרָאָ֥ה אֶת־הַחֶ֖רֶב בָּאָ֣ה עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וְתָקַ֥ע בַּשּׁוֹפָ֖ר וְהִזְהִ֥יר אֶת־הָעָֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:3 and he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows on the trumpet and warns the people, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:4 ============ Eze 33:4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:4 Then hee that heareth the sounde of the trumpet, and will not bee warned, if the sworde come, and take him away, his blood shall be vpon his owne head.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:4 et si celui qui entend le son de la trompette ne se laisse pas avertir, et que l'épée vienne le surprendre, son sang sera sur sa tête.(FR) 4 ׃33 וְשָׁמַ֨ע הַשֹּׁמֵ֜עַ אֶת־ק֤וֹל הַשּׁוֹפָר֙ וְלֹ֣א נִזְהָ֔ר וַתָּ֥בוֹא חֶ֖רֶב וַתִּקָּחֵ֑הוּ דָּמ֥וֹ בְרֹאשׁ֖וֹ יִֽהְיֶֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:4 then he who hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, and a sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:5 ============ Eze 33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:5 For he heard the sound of the trumpet, and woulde not bee admonished: therefore his blood shall be vpon him: but he that receiueth warning, shall saue his life.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:5 Il a entendu le son de la trompette, et il ne s'est pas laissé avertir, son sang sera sur lui; s'il se laisse avertir, il sauvera son âme.(FR) 5 ׃33 אֵת֩ ק֨וֹל הַשּׁוֹפָ֤ר שָׁמַע֙ וְלֹ֣א נִזְהָ֔ר דָּמ֖וֹ בּ֣וֹ יִֽהְיֶ֑ה וְה֥וּא נִזְהָ֖ר נַפְשׁ֥וֹ מִלֵּֽט׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning; his blood will be on himself. But had he taken warning, he would have delivered his life. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:6 ============ Eze 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman see the sworde come, and blowe not the trumpet, and the people be not warned: if the sworde come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away for his iniquitie, but his blood will I require at the watchmans hande.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:6 Si la sentinelle voit venir l'épée, et ne sonne pas de la trompette; si le peuple n'est pas averti, et que l'épée vienne enlever à quelqu'un la vie, celui-ci périra à cause de son iniquité, mais je redemanderai son sang à la sentinelle.(FR) 6 ׃33 וְ֠הַצֹּפֶה כִּֽי־יִרְאֶ֨ה אֶת־הַחֶ֜רֶב בָּאָ֗ה וְלֹֽא־תָקַ֤ע בַּשּׁוֹפָר֙ וְהָעָ֣ם לֹֽא־נִזְהָ֔ר וַתָּב֣וֹא חֶ֔רֶב וַתִּקַּ֥ח מֵהֶ֖ם נָ֑פֶשׁ ה֚וּא בַּעֲוֺנ֣וֹ נִלְקָ֔ח וְדָמ֖וֹ מִיַּֽד־הַצֹּפֶ֥ה אֶדְרֹֽשׁ׃ ס Ezekiel Eze 33:6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman's hand.'(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:7 ============ Eze 33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:7 So thou, O sonne of man, I haue made thee a watchman vnto the house of Israel: therefore thou shalt heare the woorde at my mouth, and admonish them from me.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:7 Et toi, fils de l'homme, je t'ai établi comme sentinelle sur la maison d'Israël. Tu dois écouter la parole qui sort de ma bouche, et les avertir de ma part.(FR) 7 ׃33 וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֔ם צֹפֶ֥ה נְתַתִּ֖יךָ לְבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְשָׁמַעְתָּ֤ מִפִּי֙ דָּבָ֔ר וְהִזְהַרְתָּ֥ אֹתָ֖ם מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:7 "Now as for you, son of man, I have appointed you a watchman for the house of Israel; so you will hear a message from My mouth and give them warning from Me. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:8 ============ Eze 33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:8 When I shall say vnto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt die the death, if thou doest not speake, and admonish the wicked of his way, that wicked man shall die for his iniquitie, but his blood will I require at thine hand.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:8 Quand je dis au méchant: Méchant, tu mourras! si tu ne parles pas pour détourner le méchant de sa voie, ce méchant mourra dans son iniquité, et je te redemanderai son sang.(FR) 8 ׃33 בְּאָמְרִ֣י לָרָשָׁ֗ע רָשָׁע֙ מ֣וֹת תָּמ֔וּת וְלֹ֣א דִבַּ֔רְתָּ לְהַזְהִ֥יר רָשָׁ֖ע מִדַּרְכּ֑וֹ ה֤וּא רָשָׁע֙ בַּעֲוֺנ֣וֹ יָמ֔וּת וְדָמ֖וֹ מִיָּדְךָ֥ אֲבַקֵּֽשׁ׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:8 When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require from your hand. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:9 ============ Eze 33:9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:9 Neuerthelesse, If thou warne the wicked of his way, to turne from it, if he doe not turne from his way, he shall die for his iniquitie, but thou hast deliuered thy soule.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:9 Mais si tu avertis le méchant pour le détourner de sa voie, et qu'il ne s'en détourne pas, il mourra dans son iniquité, et toi tu sauveras ton âme.(FR) 9 ׃33 וְ֠אַתָּה כִּֽי־הִזְהַ֨רְתָּ רָשָׁ֤ע מִדַּרְכּוֹ֙ לָשׁ֣וּב מִמֶּ֔נָּה וְלֹא־שָׁ֖ב מִדַּרְכּ֑וֹ ה֚וּא בַּעֲוֺנ֣וֹ יָמ֔וּת וְאַתָּ֖ה נַפְשְׁךָ֥ הִצַּֽלְתָּ׃ ס Ezekiel Eze 33:9 But if you on your part warn a wicked man to turn from his way and he does not turn from his way, he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your life. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:10 ============ Eze 33:10 Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?(KJV) Ezekiel 33:10 Therefore, O thou sonne of man, speake vnto the house of Israel, Thus yee speake and say, If our transgressions and our sinnes bee vpon vs, and we are consumed because of them, howe should we then liue?(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:10 Et toi, fils de l'homme, dis à la maison d'Israël: Vous dites: Nos transgressions et nos péchés sont sur nous, et c'est à cause d'eux que nous sommes frappés de langueur; comment pourrions-nous vivre?(FR) 10 ׃33 וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם אֱמֹר֙ אֶל־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כֵּ֤ן אֲמַרְתֶּם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר כִּֽי־פְשָׁעֵ֥ינוּ וְחַטֹּאתֵ֖ינוּ עָלֵ֑ינוּ וּבָ֛ם אֲנַ֥חְנוּ נְמַקִּ֖ים וְאֵ֥יךְ נִֽחְיֶֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:10 "Now as for you, son of man, say to the house of Israel, 'Thus you have spoken, saying, "Surely our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we are rotting away in them; how then can we survive?"'(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:11 ============ Eze 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?(KJV) Ezekiel 33:11 Say vnto them, As I liue, sayeth the Lorde God, I desire not the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turne from his way & liue: turne you, turne you from your euill waies, for why will ye die, O ye house of Israel?(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:11 Dis-leur: je suis vivant! dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel, ce que je désire, ce n'est pas que le méchant meure, c'est qu'il change de conduite et qu'il vive. Revenez, revenez de votre mauvaise voie; et pourquoi mourriez-vous, maison d'Israël?(FR) 11 ׃33 אֱמֹ֨ר אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם חַי־אָ֣נִי ׀ נְאֻ֣ם ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה אִם־אֶחְפֹּץ֙ בְּמ֣וֹת הָרָשָׁ֔ע כִּ֣י אִם־בְּשׁ֥וּב רָשָׁ֛ע מִדַּרְכּ֖וֹ וְחָיָ֑ה שׁ֣וּבוּ שׁ֜וּבוּ מִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֧ם הָרָעִ֛ים וְלָ֥מָּה תָמ֖וּתוּ בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ Ezekiel Eze 33:11 Say to them, 'As I live!' declares the Lord God, 'I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die, O house of Israel?'(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:12 ============ Eze 33:12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:12 Therefore thou sonne of man, saye vnto the children of thy people, The righteousnesse of the righteous shall not deliuer him in the day of his transgression, nor the wickednesse of the wicked shall cause him to fall therein, in the day that he returneth from his wickednesse, neither shal the righteous liue for his righteousnesse in the day that he sinneth.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:12 Et toi, fils de l'homme, dis aux enfants de ton peuple: La justice du juste ne le sauvera pas au jour de sa transgression; et le méchant ne tombera pas par sa méchanceté le jour où il s'en détournera, de même que le juste ne pourra pas vivre par sa justice au jour de sa transgression.(FR) 12 ׃33 וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם אֱמֹ֤ר אֶל־בְּנֵֽי־עַמְּךָ֙ צִדְקַ֣ת הַצַּדִּ֗יק לֹ֤א תַצִּילֶ֙נּוּ֙ בְּי֣וֹם פִּשְׁע֔וֹ וְרִשְׁעַ֤ת הָֽרָשָׁע֙ לֹֽא־יִכָּ֣שֶׁל בָּ֔הּ בְּי֖וֹם שׁוּב֣וֹ מֵֽרִשְׁע֑וֹ וְצַדִּ֗יק לֹ֥א יוּכַ֛ל לִֽחְי֥וֹת בָּ֖הּ בְּי֥וֹם חֲטֹאתֽוֹ׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:12 And you, son of man, say to your fellow citizens, 'The righteousness of a righteous man will not deliver him in the day of his transgression, and as for the wickedness of the wicked, he will not stumble because of it in the day when he turns from his wickedness; whereas a righteous man will not be able to live by his righteousness on the day when he commits sin.'(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:13 ============ Eze 33:13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:13 When I shal say vnto the righteous, that he shall surely liue, if he trust to his owne righteousnes, and commit iniquitie, all his righteousnes shal be no more remembred, but for his iniquitie that he hath committed, he shall die for the same.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:13 Lorsque je dis au juste qu'il vivra, -s'il se confie dans sa justice et commet l'iniquité, toute sa justice sera oubliée, et il mourra à cause de l'iniquité qu'il a commise.(FR) 13 ׃33 בְּאָמְרִ֤י לַצַּדִּיק֙ חָיֹ֣ה יִֽחְיֶ֔ה וְהֽוּא־בָטַ֥ח עַל־צִדְקָת֖וֹ וְעָ֣שָׂה עָ֑וֶל כָּל־*צדקתו **צִדְקֹתָיו֙ לֹ֣א תִזָּכַ֔רְנָה וּבְעַוְל֥וֹ אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֖ה בּ֥וֹ יָמֽוּת׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:13 When I say to the righteous he will surely live, and he so trusts in his righteousness that he commits iniquity, none of his righteous deeds will be remembered; but in that same iniquity of his which he has committed he will die. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:14 ============ Eze 33:14 Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;(KJV) Ezekiel 33:14 Againe when I shall say vnto the wicked, thou shalt die the death, if he turne from his sinne, and doe that which is lawfull and right,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:14 Lorsque je dis au méchant: Tu mourras! -s'il revient de son péché et pratique la droiture et la justice,(FR) 14 ׃33 וּבְאָמְרִ֥י לָֽרָשָׁ֖ע מ֣וֹת תָּמ֑וּת וְשָׁב֙ מֵֽחַטָּאת֔וֹ וְעָשָׂ֥ה מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּצְדָקָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:14 But when I say to the wicked, 'You will surely die,' and he turns from his sin and practices justice and righteousness, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:15 ============ Eze 33:15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:15 To wit, if the wicked restore the pledge, and giue againe that he had robbed, and walke in the statutes of life, without committing iniquitie, he shall surely liue, and not die.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:15 s'il rend le gage, s'il restitue ce qu'il a ravi, s'il suit les préceptes qui donnent la vie, sans commettre l'iniquité, il vivra, il ne mourra pas.(FR) 15 ׃33 חֲבֹ֨ל יָשִׁ֤יב רָשָׁע֙ גְּזֵלָ֣ה יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם בְּחֻקּ֤וֹת הַֽחַיִּים֙ הָלַ֔ךְ לְבִלְתִּ֖י עֲשׂ֣וֹת עָ֑וֶל חָי֥וֹ יִֽחְיֶ֖ה לֹ֥א יָמֽוּת׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:15 if a wicked man restores a pledge, pays back what he has taken by robbery, walks by the statutes which ensure life without committing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:16 ============ Eze 33:16 None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:16 None of his sinnes that he hath comitted, shal be mentioned vnto him: because he hath done that, which is lawful, and right, he shal surely liue.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:16 Tous les péchés qu'il a commis seront oubliés; s'il pratique la droiture et la justice, il vivra.(FR) 16 ׃33 כָּל־*חטאתו **חַטֹּאתָיו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָטָ֔א לֹ֥א תִזָּכַ֖רְנָה ל֑וֹ מִשְׁפָּ֧ט וּצְדָקָ֛ה עָשָׂ֖ה חָי֥וֹ יִֽחְיֶֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:16 None of his sins that he has committed will be remembered against him. He has practiced justice and righteousness; he shall surely live. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:17 ============ Eze 33:17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equall: but their owne way is vnequall.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:17 Les enfants de ton peuple disent: La voie du Seigneur n'est pas droite. C'est leur voie qui n'est pas droite.(FR) 17 ׃33 וְאָמְרוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י עַמְּךָ֔ לֹ֥א יִתָּכֵ֖ן דֶּ֣רֶךְ אֲדֹנָ֑י וְהֵ֖מָּה דַּרְכָּ֥ם לֹֽא־יִתָּכֵֽן׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:17 "Yet your fellow citizens say, 'The way of the Lord is not right,' when it is their own way that is not right. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:18 ============ Eze 33:18 When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:18 When the righteous turneth from his righteousnesse, and committeth iniquitie, he shall euen die thereby.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:18 Si le juste se détourne de sa justice et commet l'iniquité, il mourra à cause de cela.(FR) 18 ׃33 בְּשׁוּב־צַדִּ֥יק מִצִּדְקָת֖וֹ וְעָ֣שָׂה עָ֑וֶל וּמֵ֖ת בָּהֶֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:18 When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, then he shall die in it. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:19 ============ Eze 33:19 But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:19 But if the wicked returne from his wickednesse, and doe that which is lawfull and right, hee shall liue thereby.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:19 Si le méchant revient de sa méchanceté et pratique la droiture et la justice, il vivra à cause de cela.(FR) 19 ׃33 וּבְשׁ֤וּב רָשָׁע֙ מֵֽרִשְׁעָת֔וֹ וְעָשָׂ֥ה מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּצְדָקָ֑ה עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם ה֥וּא יִֽחְיֶֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 33:19 But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and practices justice and righteousness, he will live by them. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:20 ============ Eze 33:20 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:20 Yet yee say, The way of the Lord is not equall. O ye house of Israel, I will iudge you euery one after his waies.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:20 Vous dites: La voie du Seigneur n'est pas droite. Je vous jugerai chacun selon ses voies, maison d'Israël!(FR) 20 ׃33 וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם לֹ֥א יִתָּכֵ֖ן דֶּ֣רֶךְ אֲדֹנָ֑י אִ֧ישׁ כִּדְרָכָ֛יו אֶשְׁפּ֥וֹט אֶתְכֶ֖ם בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל פ Ezekiel Eze 33:20 Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not right.' O house of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his ways." And He opened my mouth at the time they came to me in the morning; so my mouth was opened and I was no longer speechless. Should you then possess the land? (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 33:32 ============ Eze 33:32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.(KJV) Ezekiel 33:32 And loe, thou art vnto them, as a iesting song of one that hath a pleasant voyce, and can sing well: for they heare thy woordes, but they doe them not.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 33:32 Voici, tu es pour eux comme un chanteur agréable, possédant une belle voix, et habile dans la musique.
